  1. While custom labels are not my cup of tea, I sure wish I had not submitted all my SW8's just prior to that label becoming available. WithCGC lack of QC which has affected more than 1 of my submissions, I don't have the stones to take a chance on re-holding my SW8 9.8's My only custom label will remain the hobgoblin on my ASM238 to Riff on Poe; "A Collectible Within A Collectible" - means that the basic sense of reality has been thoroughly destabilized.
  2. I do hope the original circa 1999-2003 blue label is un-vaulted. No joke folks, I'm 100% serious.
  3. Godzilla 24 $686 in heavy bidding. https://www.ebay.com/bfl/viewbids/115919336387 jordysnordy's Godzilla Marvel registry is complete and beyond approach, so does that eliminate it being battle of registry collectors? Very difficult final issue to find in high grade unlike #1 of which there is near endless supply. Although in the last ~16 months the 9.8 population has grown from 9 to 14 and its no longer the least populous issue of the title in that grade.
  4. Sounds like time to open dispute with your card issuer.
  5. Whew...Thought for a sec yet another Comic Book Character was senselessly laid to their rest, never ever to be seen again or for 60 days whichever comes first.
  6. redacted - my post was not intended for comic art ...
  7. Comiclink does not provide pics of the back covers thus seems like you have a legit beef. My opinion is call them up raise a huge fuss. Start a thread here in the General sub-forum with Comiclink in title. Mention how they failed to disclose all the information regarding condition and did not provide a pic of the back cover which clearly would have shown the damage, and use the thread to chart the progress with them. Mention to them the community is watching If you paid by credit card immediately open a dispute with your card issuer. You may need to explain slowly and in detail and try not to get upset as the calmer you are with the representative the more they will be willing to help and escalate. Alternately you can mention to Comiclink you will open a dispute unless they make good. A not generally known fact is a merchant must pay for each dispute filed against them. Win or lose the merchant pays. Depending on cost of the item and the volume of business the merchant does with Visa card for example, the dispute costs may be higher than simply giving a refund. Although given the cost of pretty much any slabbed book it wont be the case here. Others here may offer better opinions but at the crux of the issue is Comiclink not showing pics of back books they sell is tantamount to deceit. Good luck man! P.S. Given it is most certainly not "shaken comic syndrome" CGC may also have some explaining to do @CGC Mike
  8. IMHO a 9.4 even if rest of book is perfect. If you purchased the slabbed book like this you have every right to be upset.
  9. Click on each product for brief description https://egerber.com/catalog.htm
  10. 1999 CGC slab before paper quality notation was standard. Grade Date 12/07/1999 The self-submitted card/sticker, collectors hold on to them very tight, well good luck on finding one for sale in high grade
  11. Overstret Price Bulletin Winter 1988 - brings me back to my youth Groo Special #1 is online with current census numbers as with "only" 65 it has the lowest 9.8 population of any of the 1980's Groo #1's "H" meant hot, which back in the day meant my LCS would quickly boost price above guide on those.
  12. Originals done by another member earlier in this thread, these 2 of mine are the Poor Man's version
  13. To celebrate Destroyer Duck #1's going rate now dropping further into the reach of True Groo fans, the final page from the story:
