  1. With the amount of copies out there a club everyone on planet could join. However as no Swift as Dazzler will be in film means no one will want to...
  2. Yep BOA. JPMorgan Chase dropped down to around $21 in 2007, the dividend alone has now reached $5 a share... Of course buying WAMU in 2007 would not have been as rewarding... I took Buffets advice in late 2007 and put whatever I could into a quality S&P 500 fund and left it there. I maxed out my 401k contributions as well back then and it's paid off nicely! I was very fortunate/blessed during the financial crisis to have a job in a field which at that time was on rock solid footing.
  3. yep Buy at your target price, sell at your target price. Is the advice i was given on stocks many years ago. Since i don't sell comics I always want their price to drop.
  4. I do agree however the books at bare minimum would have to be listed on the invoice and the 4 the OP mentioned are not.
  5. I see that Marvel is killing off Wade Wilson Deadpool https://screenrant.com/deadpool-death-marvel-comics-kill-wade-wilson/ He will join the Comic Book Characters like Superman, Captain America who are never seen again....
  6. Dude has well over $200 Million in Comic Art still he resorts to that, over what to him is mere penny ante stuff. Disgusting.
  7. What do the crooks do with the Porch after they steal it? I'd imagine it would be difficult to Fence.
  8. Exactly! Want a well written War comic (or War adjacent) - try Garth Ennis' Unknown Soldier 1997 mini-series.
  9. Shill Bidding = OK on this forum, ripping off old people at 1 cent on the dollar for GA and SA comics = more than OK on this forum. @Math TeacherGiven above + the site is a purely altruistic venture, Please consider removing the final 2 sentences in your post
  10. A 9.0 is plausible but 8.0/8.5 is most likley
  11. Not Allegedly, Burkey admitted to it on these very forums!
  12. Many sellers right on this forum have multiple eBay accounts. Some of them even openly boast about it.
  13. More times than not, Ethics and Morality are mutually exclusive from Legality. Regardless of any "legality", perhaps ask your wife what she thinks St. Peter will decide when times comes to tidy up the ledger. Comic dealers and sellers these are only true keys you need to be concerned with!
  14. yep this thread has gone to pot.
  15. I'd expect no less from Comic Dealers and Sellers who on-the-whole have succeeded at being more dishonest than politicians.
  16. "I hate letting his collection go but they need a better home as I don't read them" Classic scamming line, variation of the ol' "Estate Sale" and "Dead Relative" con - not saying it is but 98% of the time its the case Recognizing Feigning Ignorance: Spotting this tactic requires careful observation and a bit of intuition. Here are some signs: Inconsistent Ignorance: If a person’s understanding seems to fluctuate based on their convenience, they might be feigning ignorance. Avoidance of Responsibility: A person feigning ignorance might use it as an excuse to evade responsibilities or obligations, particularly in legal contexts. Excessive Queries: Constant questions about basic information, especially in contexts where a certain level of knowledge is expected, could indicate this tactic. Expanding on #3 anyone who possesses the acumen to; get on the inter-webs, locate this forum, register and post, clearly has more than ample knowledge+skills to use Google, Duckduckgo, Bing etc as well as poke around eBay. BTW seeing a lot of this recently on Trading Card forums. Expect to see more of this here.
  17. remember the folks here on this very forum saying at $5-6K it was a sound investment. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
  18. In bear comics market they will be lucky to survive. Perhaps if they ditch Tuck et al's cheapjack cheesy Hype Columns, improve their interface and focus on nothing but competing with GPA they will have a shot...?
  19. I had that figured for Marvel Super Special 16 when I submitted it, but I was wrong, thus I may very well have the nicest looking 9.6 in existence
  20. IME CGC is far more harsh on tiny color rubs than multiple spine hits! Never made sense to me.. Sorry to say that yep it is a 9.8 killer. With that rub a 9.6 is the highest realistic grade at least at this point in time. BTW love you forum name, I'm a big original "V" fan.
