    >You are whining to a group of people<

Actually the intent was to get the company's attention, since their response times are limited to California weekdays.  In that it was successful.

It will make it easier for me to cancel the sale after it becomes obvious next week that the seller is never going to get the book shipped. I said easier, because of course Shortboxed has no method to formally provide feedback or ask for action.  There's just...email.

And for the record, the Shortboxed site promises shipping for "most orders" within 48 hours of purchase.  It wasn't a matter of how long it would take to arrive - I'm well aware it could be a week or more. The issue was the book was not shipped, 72 hours later. In my experience that means it isn't coming. Sellers almost never take more than a couple days to get stock out the door (unless they are Heritage). Once three or four days have passed, there is very little reason to believe it will ever happen.

    >Most orders are confirmed instantly and ship out within 48 hours. Once shipped and tracking is updated, most packages will arrive within 2-3 business days.<

Also, I did just get a response from Shortboxed and they agreed something was amiss, and are looking into it. I can't help but think I got that email on a Sunday because of this forum thread.

I was a student at RIT (Rochester area) and always remembered Buffalo WIngs were popular in 1980's even today.  Anywhere is nothing but only in Buffalo.

buffalo isn't good for much, but the wings are pretty good, girls are pretty, football team sucks and weather six months a year makes ya wanna choke yourself out. other than that, it could worse, it could be Venezuela

But what are we talking about? 100 $50-75 type books? Or 20 $250-300 type books? Or 10 $500 type books? (Will HA even do the 100 $50-75 type books? I don'

t think they do well with lots?

good question, I've only dealt with GA, Sorry, wish I could be of more help, but I'm pretty sure HA doesn't wish to deal with 20.00 books, but I could be wrong

That Blue Bolt 115 was one of the best deals in the auction. I was shocked it didn't go higher, especially with other Cole stuff outperforming.

Lettering is lopsided. Exactly why I didn't bid on the SunGirl because the registry was off on that too even though I was looking for that issue

I'm not sure I saw this coming....

    According to HA's site:

    GaG #6:  30 total, 1 higher, 3 in 9.2

    BBW #115:  69 total, 2 higher, 2 in 9.2

Ok, so fewer have come out of the woodwork...    but outsold by 5K?!?!?!?!  WoW!!!!

Off center registry on that Blue Bolt weird would have been a deal breaker for me.  I'm not really that much of a purest, but I'd take tape inside of book over a lopsided  one. Just sayin'

No GA mostly BA with a couple of SA.

Was thinking possibly sending to MCS but a few issues are Whitman. They have a search filter for Gold Key but not for Whitman and based on my (limited) past experience I feel like Whitmans can get overlooked in peoples searches.

In total I can probably put 5 grand worth of stuff together but based on HAs historical data, like you said, may not be the best venue for SA/BA stuff I have.

Do you happen to know if the $5,000 threshold is limited to just one category or can you get to that total combining categories, like comics and books?

First off, MCS? super, super nice folk, but unless you're sending a bunch of drek, I wouldn't do that. You are just setting yourself up for low $$ results. 5k is Ha's min per category. They prefer more than that, but I believe thats their bottom line. If it were me with SA/BA? Clink or CC. Best to you

Is October/November now back to again being a bad time to consign books to Clink and better to wait until February/March of next year?

Or is it all just randomly bad now?

I'd wait till spring and I wouldn't consign GA books to clink,  imo if you have 5k worth of goodies or more, HA is the place for GA, whereas SA/BA books tend to do ok at Clink. Super nice folks at Link, but the few times I did consign there, I felt HA gets better returns albeit higher commission unfortunately

Gorgeous, but 546 in that shape, really?!

I feel like 15 years ago I could have found that one for five bucks in no time.

Timely Atlas collectors seem an odd sort to me but mostly on the patient and cheaper side, so this surprises.  Of course when you really want a grail, maybe you go for it ^^

pretty high for a 2.5, but like ya said, u take what u can get when there are zero alternatives

    ......oh, it sez 1.5,  yikes!

Can't believe this sucker is actually here. Years and years of solicits, cancellations, re-solicits, rinse and repeat. And even once it was released, it took him two weeks to ship and get to me, which is very odd for IST these days. In recent months I've been getting my shipments in a matter of days. Should have known that Phantom Stranger would keep taking his time. Looking forward to digging into it.
