Adams on GL/GA did increase sales, but there was shenanigans at play in the distribution and retail supply chain. It has been written about several times, I just don't recall the details. Robert Beerbhom (sp) wrote some in-depth articles about it and they were printed, at least in part, in earlier issues of Comic Book Artist or Alter Ego. I no longer recall which publication. Neal Adams also shared some information on the shenanigans at play and tried to explain them to Carmine Infantino, imploring him not to cancel GL/GA, but Carmine didn't understand what Neal was trying to explain to him. At least, that's the story according to Neal.

Hi, all; Three more great books ending on Heritage today: First up is ASM #130 cgc 9.8 Romita Sig series with white pages. The book is also signed by Gerry Conway (writer) and Roy Thomas (Editor in Chief). Current bid = $380, which is only 1/3 of its fair market value so its a smoking hot deal right now! Current bid is only $72 and this one has a long way to go before hitting fair market value...Romita's signature by itself will set you back $100. I hear ya, but I could care less. Cap 74 or any Golden Age book, holds zero nostalgia for me. I’d choose ASM 300 over the others any day of the week, and twice on Sundays.

$5.2K for a 9.8 blue label, white pages is a very strong result. likewise the $1650 and $1625 for the recent 9.6’s!
