The Official November Heritage Auction Thread
jjonahjameson11 replied to jjonahjameson11's topic in Original Comic Art
Added: Romita Sr Namor the Sub-Mariner #67. This issue introduced Namor’s new, short-lived costume. The pic of the OA isn’t available yet, but here’s an image of the published cover. I liked the new costume. -

I’d love to hear pre-auction estimates and rationale from Mike, Will, and Glen on this page in particular.

LIVE PANEL TONIGHT ON COMIC ART COLLECTING!
jjonahjameson11 replied to glenbru's topic in Original Comic Art Marketplace
I am the only one who stated publicly that it went cheap, but several others agreed offline that it did go cheap. It seems that the increase in OA values is slow on the uptick compared with comics for characters who have been optioned for a TV show or movie appearance, but eventually, the OA prices will come around, as they've done for other characters/groups. -
No, he doesn't.

John Beatty needs our help!
jjonahjameson11 replied to jjonahjameson11's topic in Original Comic Art
Thanks, Malvin, for getting the ball rolling -
Hi, all; John Beatty, inker extraordinaire on many of your favorite pencillers & comic books needs our help. John's vision has been deteriorating for the past decade, but has recently taken a sharp turn for the worst and he now requires double cataracts surgery. With covid19 affecting comics output, not to mention comic conventions being cancelled, John's income has been severely hampered and he's started a GoFundMe page. All of the details can be found here and any contribution will help https://www.gofundme.com/f/cataract-surgeries-for-john-beatty?utm?source=customer&utm?medium=copy?link&utm?campaign=p?cf+share-flow-1

Comic Art Commission how long is too long and what to do
jjonahjameson11 replied to nathanlogan's topic in Original Comic Art
I paid in advance and was in constant communication with the artist. There was extenuating circumstances that added to the turnaround time, which I don’t want to mention as the artist is no longer with us. -

Here’s my blanket, opinionated statement: i nominate this topic as the dumbest ever posted on the CGC message boards. -
Comic Art Commission how long is too long and what to do
jjonahjameson11 replied to nathanlogan's topic in Original Comic Art
you're worried about 10 months? possibly one year? That's a fairly short time compared to some of the experiences shared on a similar thread years ago. I had to wait 7 years for a painting, and a buddy waiting 10 years for a sketch. -
raw or slabbed?

Yeah, I echo the sentiments of others that the Heritage recap was insightful. What I'd really like to see are some pre-auction estimates from this group & the rationale behind them.
