  1. Looks as though the Falcon has hooves instead of feet. Good thing he can fly.
  2. Selling my last few John Romita CGC Signature Series comics on Clink. These books are from my personal collection and I've owned them for over 30 years. The auctions end on Sept 24th and the current bids are still very low so here's a good opportunity to pick up some great books at really affordable prices. Next up is Amazing Spiderman #59 in 8.0 with White pages. This is the very 1st time that Mary Jane appears on the cover, and there's also a brief cameo appearance by the Kingpin. The last copy I had in this condition sold for $300, and the current bid on this one is only $132 Here's the direct link to the auction for this book: https://comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FSEARCH%2EASP%3FFocusedOnly%3D1%26where%3Dauctions%26title%3Dromita%2Bsig%26GO%3DGO%26ItemType%3DCB%23Item%5F1332778&id=1332778&itemType=0 And here's a pic of the book:

Up next is ASM #53, in 8.0 with Off White/White pages, featuring a great Spidey vs Doc Ock cover, and also featuring the very 1st date between Peter Parker and the lovely Gwen Stacy! Here's the direct link to the auction for this book: https://comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FSEARCH.ASP%3FFocusedOnly%3D1%26where%3Dauctions%26title%3Dromita%2Bsig%26GO%3DGO%26ItemType%3DCB%23Item_1332777&id=1332777&itemType=0 And here's a pic:
  4. As much as I love the McSpidey #1 cover and the Hulk #340 cover, this image featuring the 1st appearance of Venom is my McFavourite.
  5. Hi, all: Selling my last few John Romita CGC Signature Series comics on Clink. These books are from my personal collection and I've owned them for over 30 years. The auctions end on Sept 24th and the current bids are still very low so here's a good opportunity to pick up some great books at really affordable prices. First up is Amazing Spiderman Annual (King Size) #9 in 9.4 with OW/W pages. This ties for the highest graded example, and has a great Spidey vs Green Goblin cover. Also, nice signature placement by Mr Romita. Here's the direct link to the auction for this book: https://comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FSEARCH%2EASP%3FFocusedOnly%3D1%26where%3Dauctions%26title%3Dromita%2Bsig%26GO%3DGO%26ItemType%3DCB%23Item%5F1332779&id=1332779&itemType=0 And here's the pic:
  6. Hi, all: I've consigned Scooby Doo #19 CGC 9.6 with White pages to Comiclink's Featured Auction. The auction ends Sept 26th and this is a rare opportunity to get a very high grade Gold Key Scooby Doo with White pages. They generally sell for $600-$750 in this condition, and the current high bid is only $30 so there's still lots of opportunity to pick it up below fair market value. Here's the direct link to the auction, along with a pic of the book: https://comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FSEARCH%2EASP%3FFocusedOnly%3D1%26where%3Dauctions%26title%3Dscooby%2Bdoo%26GO%3DGO%26ItemType%3DCB%23Item%5F1332780&id=1332780&itemType=0
  7. Rest assured, I did go easy wrt Larsen's 'artwork' in my post, 'cause the CGC Mods would have a field day if I told you how I really felt about it.
  8. I realize art is subjective but OMG, I had to do a frigging double-take after reading your post!!! Sticking a pencil up your arse and making crude squiggles on a page for 245 issues is NOT an accomplishment However, I will concede that convincing people to buy that for 245 issues IS an accomplishment!
  9. I'm not well-versed on the UG creators such as Crumb, Williamson, et al. so I'll leave that for others to determine the greatest amongst the non-mainstream folks. So, narrowing it down to the single most important living creator today, I personally feel there are only two choices: 1. Frank Miller - mostly for the reasons already cited in other posts, but also because of his influence in making unique comic book films look and feel like his printed works. Sin City, the Spirit, and 300 immediately come to mind 2. Todd McFarlane - his influence on Spiderman and a generation of look-alike artists, establishing a viable option to the Big Two via Image, leading edge colouring on his books, etc. As a huge Spidey fan, it was difficult to choose Todd over John Romita Sr, but honestly, Mr. Romita is the artist on your father's Spidey, whereas Todd is the relevant artist for folks in their 30's - 50's Your mileage may vary...
  10. Here's the page that Vince sold for $10K. According to Vince, it was the very last page of published Sandman OA he had. Its a very nice example, with Dream throughout. Congrats to the purchaser!
  11. I’ve never had an appreciation for the Alan Moore stuff (single exception being the Killing Joke) so I’m asking as someone totally ignorant to the valuations of the Moore Swamp Thing run...within +/- $10K. What do YOU think this work of sell for at HA, with the ‘juice’ ?
  12. Just a quick reminder the aforementioned items are ending on Clink tonight. Good Luck!
  13. And here's the Erik Larsen Spidey & Cap 11x17 cover quality illo:
  14. John Romita Jr WOLVERINE #30 COMPLETE 23 PAGE INTERIORS...this is page 8.
  15. Was there ever a more interesting dialog in comics taking place while feeding the pigeons? Love this stuff.
  16. ...and here's the Dr. Strangefate mash-up splash by two great artists' artists of our time, Jose Luis Garcia Lopez & Kevin Nowlan!
  17. Final bump for these wonderful Romita Sr CGC Sig Series books, ending tonite on Clink, all still well below Fair Market value: -44 in 8.5 = $186 -45 in 9.2 = $401 -49 in 8.5 = $185 -51 in 8.0 = $165 -83 in 9.4 = $223 -100 in 9.4 = $301 (a 9.4 blue label sold a few days ago on Clink for $720 so this sig series copy still has a long way to go)
  18. All of these great Romita Sr Sig Series books are ending tonight, and all are still well below FMV. for example, the ASM 100 in 9.4 with white pages is currently only $276 so someone is going to get a bargain!
