  1. It would be great to share the images with the collecting community, but as this was the 1st (and now, 2nd) time this has happened, I did not take any pics. Thus, no images to share However, I will be sending a list of the stolen OA to all of the OA dealers today and I have already taken pics of the next batch of OA that I will be consigning.
  2. The last few times I won from HA, they shipped the artwork before I even paid them!

  4. How is registered mail any different than the service I used? Item tracking and signature confirmation. again, this is the 1st time I’ve had anything stolen after sending thousands of packages worldwide.
  5. USPS has been absolutely useless. If they do know who did it, they are not sharing the information.
  6. Stealing from a parked truck at the same destination a week apart? Not sure about that.
  7. Sent with item tracking and signature confirmation
  8. HI, all: In my initial post, I stated that I sent Heritage another package a week after the first one, and after going through the same hassles with USPS, I have received confirmation that the second package has also been stolen by a USPS employee. A police report has been filed. Please spread the word on these covers/pages and DM me should you come across any. Thanks again to everyone for your support, suggestions, and well-wishes. 10. Howdy folks! Ending at approximately 7PM Eastern time tonight, this very funky Infantino Avengers #203 page. here’s the direct link to the page at auction: https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/story-page/carmine-infantino-and-dan-green-the-avengers-203-story-page-20-original-art-marvel-1981-/a/322326-49159.s?ic2=myconsignmentspage-lotlinks-12202013&tab=MyConsignment-112816 and here’s a pic of the page. Thanks for looking, and good luck to all bidders 👍🏻
  11. Not sure if anyone noticed the Aparo Adventure cover featuring Aquaman for $31K? Another one sold last year for $40K so it seems as though Aparo Aquaman covers are getting as much (more?) love than his Batman or Brave and the Bold covers!
  12. Bricks? Nobody better at it than SIM/Gerhard. way too many examples to post here
  13. So, this is my favourite local show by far because it’s a true comic book show and you can find just about any Silver Age -modern book you want. There is also a handful of dealers with decent Golden Age books. the location is easy to get to, and there’s no cosplay folks clogging the aisles. I think attendance was light this weekend for a few reasons: first and foremost, this weekend is the first summer weekend and the traffic headed out of the city and into cottage country was HUGE. Secondly, it was the finale of gay pride month, with the main pride parade on Sunday. Given Toronto has the largest gay pride parade, there’s no doubt several folks skipped the show for the parade. finally, we just had a show in Niagara Falls a few weeks ago, plus HeroesCon and Major online comics auctions ending this past weekend May have left some wallets tapped out
  14. It was nice to see a bounce back on prices for the Jeff Jones paintings after several years of decline. overall, I’d say it was another auction with strong results (and a few exceptions already noted, particularly with attempted quick re-sales). the OA market continues to look healthy and stable and I would also echo the sentiments of others in requesting that HA limit the number of OA offerings to 500 lots per signature auction. Nobody wants to sit through marathons, especially when the weather is so nice and there are great outdoor activities to enjoy
  15. Hi, there Dirtcheap. I reside in Canada and we don't have USPS (at least, I don't think we do). For the past 25 years, I've used Canada Post Expedited or Express service with item tracking (and signature confirmation for more expensive items). During this period, I've sent over 75 packages to Heritage and shipped over 5,000 packages of comics, art and books worldwide and I guess I should consider myself lucky that this incident is the 1st time I've had anything stolen. Through this incident, I discovered that Canada Post delivers the packages to Customs at the US/Canada border, but then USPS takes over the shipping within the US to its final destination. Likewise, for Express service, Canada Post outsourced to Purolater, but recently outsourced to another provider, and again, there is a hand-off to US Post at the border. Long story short, I did not intentionally opt to send anything via US Post, but it just so happens that Canada Post hands over the delivery to them for US destinations. Going forward, I will be using Fedex, even though they are more expensive, require more forms to be completed, are much further from my house/out of the way, and have far more atrocious service folks than Canada Post. Its an expensive lesson to learn after all these years of successful delivery, but I'm thankful that it hasn't happened more often. To all who have posted on this thread, I want to thank you for reading, for your well-wishes, for your kind DM's to me, and most of all, thank you for spreading the word about these stolen pages.
  16. I thought the promo ad or poster is also out there
  17. Hi, Brian. yes, this was the exact USPS facility from which the package was ‘on route’ to Heritage. sorry to hear the same thing happened to you
  18. HI, all: A few months ago, I sent a package of OA consignments to Heritage. Unfortunately, the package was out for delivery Mar 4th and never seen/heard from again. The artwork was sent with item tracking and signature confirmation but was stolen in transit by a USPS driver. I have spent the past two months working with USPS (not helpful at all) and HA (very helpful). A police report has been filed Please spread the word, and DM me should you see/be offered any of the following artwork: Brett Booth Gunslinger Spawn #8 p20 splash with Spawn and Gunslinger Spawn Brett Booth The Flash #36 cover Brett Booth Flash/Speed Buggy #1p10 splash Herb Trimpe Avengers #333p9 (Captain America battles Dr. Doom) Jim Starlin Strange Adventures #5p2/3 Double Page Splash Jim Starlin Hawkman Special #1p8/9 Double Page Spread Jim Starlin Strange Adventures #5p8/9 Double Page Spread (awesome all-out battle) Jim Starlin Hawkman Special #1p4/5 Double Page Spread Brett Booth The Flash #54p20 Splash (killer splash page, pivitol moment) Brett Booth Flash/Speed Buggy #1p33 splash Brett Booth Flash Future's End #1p7 half splash Brett Booth Flash Future's End #1p8 Brett Booth The Flash 47p5 half splash vs Professor Zoom (reverse Flash) Brett Booth The Flash 47p7 splash vs Professor Zoom (reverse Flash) Billy Tan Uncanny X-Men #481p6 Billy Tan Uncanny X-Men #481p8 Billy Tan Uncanny X-Men #482p16 Billy Tan Uncanny X-Men #482p19 Billy Tan Uncanny X-Men #482p22 Billy Tan Uncanny X-Men #484p1 Billy Tan Uncanny X-Men #484p18 Billy Tan Uncanny X-Men #485p4 Billy Tan Uncanny X-Men #485p6 Billy Tan Uncanny X-Men #486p19 Billy Tan Uncanny X-Men #492p2 Jim Starlin Strange Adventures #5p14 half splash Jim Starlin Mystery in Space #8p28 splashy Kevin Maguire Supergirl #21p9 Kevin Maguire Supergirl #22p14 Kevin Maguire Supergirl #22p15 Pascal Alixe Ultimate X-Men #82p13 written by Robert Kirkman (writer/co-creator of Invincible & The Walking Dead) Pascal Alixe Ultimate X-Men #82p14 written by Robert Kirkman (writer/co-creator of Invincible & The Walking Dead) Pascal Alixe Ultimate X-Men #82p15 written by Robert Kirkman (writer/co-creator of Invincible & The Walking Dead) Pascal Alixe Ultimate X-Men #83p2 written by Robert Kirkman (writer/co-creator of Invincible & The Walking Dead) Pascal Alixe Ultimate X-Men #83p3 written by Robert Kirkman (writer/co-creator of Invincible & The Walking Dead) Pascal Alixe Ultimate X-Men #83p11 written by Robert Kirkman (writer/co-creator of Invincible & The Walking Dead) Mark Bagley Spiderman #2p15 Mark Bagley Spiderman #2p16 Mark Bagley Spiderman #2p17 Mark Bagley Spiderman #3p7 Mark Bagley Spiderman #3p16 Mark Bagley Spiderman #4p1 Mark Bagley Spiderman #4p8 Mark Bagley Spiderman #4p9 Mark Bagley Spiderman #4p13 Mark Bagley Spiderman #5p21 PS I sent HA a separate package the following week containing another 50+ OA consignments and I am just waiting for USPS to confirm once more that they haven't a clue as to what happened to the package.
