  2. Looks like a great guest lineup so far. any info on hotels/convention rates/close to the venue?
  3. To be fair, there was a few dealers at the show offering three free $1 books for each ten $1 books purchased. So, purchase twenty $1 books and get six free!
  4. An ASM #1 CGC 9.6 with white pages sold at Hake’s last nite for $520.4K. Is this the record high price for an ASM #1?
  5. Dave Sim on Cerebus. He did just about everything from #1-66. #67-300 had Gerhard inks, while Dave did everything else.
  6. Thanks to all for the clarification on the Independent Distribution title allotments and dates. it’s nice to know there are knowledgeable folks here on the boards who are willing to share information with the rest of us 👍🏻
  7. Thanks for the info about that. do you know if the Millie’s, Patsy Walker and Kid Colt were monthly or bi-monthly?
  8. Little Lulu, Roy Rogers, Donald Duck, Tarzan, Buck Rogers and anything else you want to throw in to obfuscate the conversations round Cerebus’ value be damned! I could get into this even further, but given my time is limited and more valuable than getting into an ongoing back and forth with you, I will conclude our conversation by saying that I agree to disagree with you!
  9. Interesting, because in the Martin Goodman issue of Alter Ego, it stated that he was limited to 8 titles only.
  10. Cult character or not, there is resounding on-going demand for scarce items from the Copper Age and earlier. In other posts, you claim to be a long- time collector. If that’s true, then you should know by now that my statements are valid. and for the record, I do not own any issues of Cerebus nor any pages from the title. So you are wrong yet again
  11. They do/will, same as they do for Bone, TMNT, etc
  12. Agree with all of your points, and will also include Captain America’s appearances in Marvel Mystery Tales and his 15 chapter movie serial in the 1940’s as further evidence to support his popularity over the Flash in the Golden Age Regarding the Silver Age, please remind me about the number of try-out issues in Showcase that The Flash needed before sales were deemed worthy enough to launch his own series? Heck, Lois Lane appeared after the Flash in Showcase, yet her series was launched before his! Additionally, we all know that due to a very bad decision to sell off his own Distribution network, Martin Goodman had to use DC’s Independent Distribution, with a limitation of only 8 titles. Hence, Marvel was unable to publish Captain America in his own title until 1968, when the distribution agreement was no longer in place. 1970’s - Captain America headlined several reprint titles and also headlined The Invaders with Subby and the Human Torch I can elaborate further, but the point is moot.
  13. People were saying the same thing about the value of Cerebus #1 after the series ended with the publication of issue 300, nearly 20 years ago. yet, both the value of the comic (and Cerebus OA) has increased substantially over this time
  14. Key Bronze books that decreased in value from last year’s guide: Werewolf 32 Hulk 180 ToD 10 ASM 101 Marvel Premiere 1 new to the Top 25: ToD 1 Significant increases: Cerebus 1 continues its strong price increase Most of the remaining Top 25Bronze were stagnant or had very marginal increases
  15. Offered on Panel Page earlier this year for $19.5K. sold in the June HA auction for 8.4K
