  1. Bob, I'm no troll. I highlighted the part in red font, and underlined the word "remain", since they haven't been diligent at all. I do not sell with them, but its a great place to buy OA and I've said that for years.
  2. If you believe that, then I have a nice bridge for sale in Brooklyn!
  3. Likewise. I hadn't consigned with them for several years due to auction/access 'hiccups' and ever-decreasing returns in comparison to HA. This latest 'glitch' and the incredibly poor (lack of) communication has ensured that I will never consign with them.
  4. Agreed! 60 years is a loooooong time for a comic book to stay in such wonderful condition
  5. Book looks even more impressive raw, out of the slab. Wish I had the money for a copy in this grade. Regardless, congrats to the buyer and seller, and thanks for making this a public sale!
  6. Overhangs? Where's Jason Ewart and his laser trimmer these days?
  7. Thanks to all whose keen eagle eyes have spotted these items for sale on ebay. I'm glad to be a member of this august community of collectors, and I want you all to know that I am communication with the ebay seller presently.
  8. Yes, because he was Marvel's most popular character and the demand was there to warrant 3 monthlies with new stories (ASM, MTU, PPTSS) and a monthly reprint title (Marvel Tales), in addition to numerous guest appearances elsewhere in the Marvel Universe. Happy for you in picking up the run for $800. It sounds like a good deal.
  9. The best of the best, from storytelling, to innovative page design, use of shadows and light, packaging books, comics formats (newspaper supplements, graphic novels, educational/training manuals, etc), etc. this man was unique in the history of the medium.
  10. Brock, I recall PPTSS #27 (1st Miller DD) always being more expensive than surrounding issues, likewise #85 (Early Hobgoblin appearance/1st time he obtains superhuman powers). Also, PPTSS #90 (1st Spidey black costume in this title) has seen a significant bump over the past 5 years or so. Overall, PPTSS is a decent read with solid, if somewhat unspectacular artwork, but I wouldn't consider it a substitute for ASM, no matter how pricey the parent title becomes. To other posters thinking that the title is undervalued, it most likely is. But us old timers have been saying that for decades yet prices are still where they are today. Let's face it, PPTSS #1 is a 47 year old book, the start of a long running popular title, and it lists for under $100 in Overstreet today. RE: 1st Cloak and Dagger, they were hot for a micro-second, had subsequent appearances in a relatively short time in PPTSS (never in ASM, and only once in MTU (an annual where they co-starred with other heroes)), and landed their own short-lived ongoing series. Oh, I almost forgot they co-starred briefly in the re-launched Strange Tales (split book with Dr. Strange). Made a few appearances in New Mutants (Sienkiewicz run) and that's about it, I think.
  11. The folks at Clink need mandatory training in PR/media relations. The lack of communication is inexcusable.
  12. Agreed. however, if you collect ASM, this was a great show for you to fill in some back issue gaps. I saw more ASM 1’s, 14’s, 100’s, 129’s, and 238’s at this show compared with HeroesCon. I also found prices were generally more affordable than HeroesCon, except for the fella asking $15K for the ASM 129 in CGC 9.6. He had this book priced the same at last year’s show…guess he’s willing to wait a loooooong time to get his price 🤣
  13. Sorry to say, but it must have been up for a very limited time. I just went to the site and got the following
  14. Nope, just checked and I’m getting this message
  15. Doug has been Clink’s VP and Sr Consignments Director forever
  16. The 14 day turnaround simply isn’t enough time, especially if one is on vacation or away for business or family emergencies. Any way of speaking to the powers that be for an increased timeframe?
  17. Site is still down! No updates/communication from them.
  18. This has happened several times in the past and you’d think they would have at least learned how to provide communications updates by now. Just brutal!
  19. Yowza! Doing that would be suicide…competing directly with HA auction closing dates!
  20. This isn’t the 1st or 2nd or even 3rd time this has happened with clink. If I were a consignor, I’d be pissed! yet another reason to sell elsewhere
  21. Overstreet’s monthly mag was blown out of the water by Wizard mag
