  1. It gets a bit more difficult to estimate the value of sigs when a store has a creator do a limited edition signing, with certificate for each individually signed/numbered book. I recall Lee's did that for a while, and so did New Dimension Comics, to name but a few. I picked up some nice Thor TPB's from New Dimension, individually signed and limited certs, with an original head sketch of Thor or Beta Ray Bill
  2. So, those two ASM Ann 16 pages were my consignments in the Nov 2020 HA auction. I was anticipating Monica's appearance in the Captain Marvel movie would have increased the value of the pages, and it did...I was just a bit ahead of the curve regarding timing.
  3. Yup, that’s correct. However, CGC has been slabbing other B&W’s recently so I thought I’d reach out for an updated response @Jennier F.
  4. Great display. Takes me back to the days when I collected anything and everything Punisher!

  6. Thought you bought the ASM 10 for $158K at auction and split it up? If not, then which issue
  7. Hi, Jennifer; The EERIE #1 is an ascan with dimensions smaller than a modern comic book. It has been authenticated and slabbed multiple times by one of your competitors. Can you please as someone in grading if CGC can authenticate/grade this comic? Examples from competitor below... Looking forward to your response...
  8. Hello, I notice that CGC has recently been grading pamphlet size comics and mini-comics and I'm wondering if you would also grade the EERIE #1 aschan by Warren. Here's some details on the book (all info per Heritage Auction site): Eerie #1 First Edition (Warren, 1965) Condition: NM. The low distribution of the first printing has made this issue difficult to find, especially in the grade of this pristine copy. This copy has the distinct lines on the roof of the house on page 1, and the bald headed man on page 18 panel 5 disappears into solid black (both of which are mentioned in Overstreet as indicators of a true first printing). We've offered a copy this nice on just two previous occasions since 2001, and both went for well over Overstreet guide value. Jack Davis cover. George Evans and Joe Orlando art. Overstreet 2013 NM- 9.2 value = $1,100.
  9. I think Teddie was indicating HA would get more if they sold the pages individually, rather than a single lot of complete interiors. and history has shown he’s correct. It just sets up a great arbitrage situation for Burkey or another dealer to buy the lot and sell the pages individually on their website. we all know Burkey has done this with ASM 10 (and many other complete stories/books), and Albert has done the same, too (recently with a Ditko unpublished Flash Gordon story)
  10. Irrespective of the Supes sale, would you say there’s been a lot of new whales entering comics over the past two years?
  11. Roy, are you able to elaborate as to the extent of your engagement in this sale? What, specifically did you do in order to make this sale happen?
  12. So, if I could just choose one of them, not based on value, it would be ASM 121. I think 121 was a jarring shock to Spidey readers and others who picked up the book at the time of publication. Poor Gwen Stacy, beloved girlfriend of Peter Parker, killed at the hands of his (then) greatest enemy, the Green Goblin. With this book, many folks said the age of innocence in comics was lost and ushered in an era of grittier stories and characters with suspect personal morals. It is one of the few books that folks can point to as the start of the Bronze Age for Marvel, whereby the style and direction of storytelling changed significantly from the Silver Age. Your mileage may vary.
  13. Perhaps this should be moved out of the marketplace section?
