  1. Oceans can take it. I already have this issue, just wanted to check it out. Thanks for asking oceans!
  2. Thank you. Sorry I couldn't stay up for the sale last night, I'm still in Ohio .
  3. Is anyone else having problems with CGC's search function? I used to be able to search for keywords in a thread to find specific comics, but now the search button does nothing. I'm trying to find some images of remaining comics in this thread without scrolling through 48 pages.
  4. Is this your kudos link? https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/395985-kudos-page-for-hobbyguy/?do=findComment&comment=9299638
  5. Very good scans of these early Marvels. That Hulk #2 and Avengers #2 are just sweet. GLWTS!
  6. Pretty girl, bound and gagged on a women's lib issue. Go figure...
  7. Mary seems very nonchalant about Harry's return. Of course, her new beau took her to the cemetary to make out, so I think she'll reunite with Harry.
  8. If I understand correctly, the Avengers 7 sold for maybe 15% of its value? I hope that I would show as much class and integrity as you just have, if this ever happens to me. You have my utmost respect, sir. I think my emoticon would be different though.
  9. This would be more of a clarification of an existing rule, which is that a price must be stated when listing an item for sale. If you mention a book, state the price. The seller is free to pull the book from the sale at any time if no one has claimed it at that price.
  10. I can just imagine Rick firing up the old scanner at home. All the house lights dim. Must be industrial grade.
  11. Almost 30 days now, and the thread is still going strong. You could make some extra money writing TITLES for the other sellers... I keep checking to see if more books have been added, but something else must be drawing the crowds. You really should capitalize on this and list some more. Tastefully though.
  12. Completed my first transaction with Randall, and I am very pleased. Kudos to his wife too, who packed my book so carefully. The shipping box was damaged, but my book looks great.
  13. I'm surprised that no one has jumped on this. Seems to be much less activity on the boards lately. I looked for months before I found a coverless #1 at a decent price.
  14. Bob, I was hoping you'd show up. I'm surrounded by lawyers.
  15. To make matters worse, I was so wrapped up in this topic that I forgot about the 3 auctions I'm involved in. They ended an hour ago. At least I got one out of three. Need some closure on this. But the seller did make an offer. To list some specific books, which wasn't done. It's strange to me that buyers are held to higher standards than sellers are. Even in the WTB forum, members are told not to post listings unless they are serious about buying. Don't waste people's time searching for your items if you are not prepared to buy. This seller wasted a lot of my time that could have been better spent on listings that were sincere.
  16. I am with Bob wholeheartedly. What if I, as a buyer, post a big "I'll take it" in response to an offering from a seller. Some hours later, I post "Oh, about that 'take it'. Found a better deal and the money's gone. Sorry to tease like that. ". What repercussions would I face? I can understand a seller listing a book, then having a change of heart and pulling it from a sale. At least the seller kept his word about listing it. This seller stated what was coming, then waited hours before telling everyone it was all a tease? This seller has lost all credibility with me. There was no sincere apology .
  17. Nice books. Need more pics though... Couldn't see if Larry and Elaine got back together.
