  1. I also use Comicdrawer magazine boxes. For the stuff that is larger like treasuries I purchased a box that holds that size from Bagsunlimited
  2. It isn't hate but frustration as they keep putting out average content motivated by a requirement to have a large quantity of movies and tv shows on the streaming platform.
  3. There are not that many Turner signed copies of this book which is in your favor. The condition of your book: several spine ticks that I see means it is probably a 9.2, maybe a 9.4. My estimate on the value of your raw copy is around $150.00
  4. The youtube guy could have played this entirely different by being polite and considerate of others. He could have phoned the store and said "Hi, I am a comic collector and I have this youtube channel and I would like to feature your store. Mind if I come by??" Going that route you are likely to get a far better reception / reaction and are likely to get support. Walking in filming is inconsiderate and he should expect to receive the same behavior in return. As to doing deals in the store or near the store: equally inconsiderate. Getting asked to leave 2 comic stores in the same day it is clearly the Youtuber that is the problem.
  5. I said buy the book not the label because that is really all that can be done. I hope the person that buys the Detective 166 does at least the bare minimum of diligence before they spend thousands of dollars to determine the book is probably an 8.0 instead of what the cgc label says.
  6. My post on my specific book was in response to this comment: "Most of the Promise Collection books were graded about three increments higher than CGC norms. Some were overgraded even more than that. I saw some that looked to be overgraded by about 5 increments." Over nearly 5000 quantity of books in the Promise Collection how many of them are correctly graded versus the number that have been graded inaccurately? I agree the books you mention are not graded accurately. The correct response to all of this is: Buy the book not the label.
  7. now I want to order pizza. **and did.
  8. If I miss the delivery at my home I drive across the city to the main depot and pick up the parcel. I have never had a problem with picking it up but only after fedex has gone through the delivery attempt. What I can not do is change the delivery instructions. I can't ask them to change the instructions to hold the parcel at the depot or deliver to a location I know I am going to be at, I have to wait until they have made their attempt(s) to deliver and I receive a "doorknocker" and only then can I go pick it up. hope this helps
  9. Marvel seems so lost as to what made their films so successful in the past. It actually baffles me how lost they are, when it is a simple formula: 1. Stay true to who the character is within popular culture. Example: Thor. Read a few Thor comics and focus on the point in time when Marvel's comic book sales were the highest ever as those comics are extremely likely to be the version of Thor that is most well known and loved by your fans. The closest I have seen Marvel stay true to the character is in Avengers Infinity War... go figure that film is successful. This applies to both the hero and the villain. Enough with the inclusivity! If the character is a 25 year old white male in the comics then stick to that. 2. High quality writing. A high quality well written story will be appreciated by your audience and far too often in recent films I feel this is where things are lacking. This also baffles me when they have literally decades of quality material to reference. No need to reinvent the wheel just put the best stories you have got up on the big screen for the fans to enjoy. Want an example of really bad writing watch Wakanda Forever and review the scene when they go to Ri-Ri's apartment to recruit her. The dialogue, the setting, everything about that scene is horrid. 3. Meddling. Please stop meddling with the creators you trusted to take on the project in the first place. Just make sure the individual follows point #1 and #2 above. 4. Lead with "flagship" properties. Go figure this is why Spider-Man No Way Home raked in the dollars over the Eternals. The phase 5 line up isn't exactly exciting. 5. Quantity: Less is more. Cut the upcoming slate in half and make the highest quality content possible. Set the bar high (like it used to be) average isn't getting it done but I guess we need the content bombardment for the streaming don't we?
  10. One thing I would like to see: Retention of offered custom label images. Once offered could it continue to be offered instead of removed? With the time it takes to get books cleaned/pressed then sent for grading and the turn-around time of that entire process many times the images that were available are no longer offered. I understand licensing and time, just asking if the time frame can be perhaps longer?.
  11. Ahhh, yes it is! Interesting that they got Romita to re-do it isn't it?
  12. I will send you the 20 year old can from the very back of my cabinet.
  13. that is the 1966 Spiderman poster, and the artist is Ditko
  14. There are many "undefined" cups that were used in any convenience location that sold Icee/Slurpee/Slush.
  15. I didnt like Namor, although i enjoyed seeing moments where it showed how powerful he is. The actor playing him needed to go to the "Chris Hemsworth Institute of Muscles" C.H.I.M.
  16. If they have "Allmarket Promotions Inc. Bala" they are Circle K cups no branding first print run.
  17. possible to take a few pictures? These cups were manufactured for use by different companies. Some had branding others did not. Those companies that paid for the licensing use of these cups that wanted their logo on the cups would have had to pay for that. Slurpee was 7-11, but you could go to a different chain and get a slush. Icee was obtained at many convenience stores not called 7-11. image below of Spider-man Icee cup. Circle-K also used these cups, some had branding like the ones below. Your cup is a 1978 Circle-K cup, without the branding but a misprint version. Image of one like it attached.
  18. your cup is a first printing / first manufactured, and yes they caught the error and corrected it as you are aware. Your cup is a gen-you-whine oddity / rare. Thanks for sharing!
