  1. I didnt like Namor, although i enjoyed seeing moments where it showed how powerful he is. The actor playing him needed to go to the "Chris Hemsworth Institute of Muscles" C.H.I.M.
  2. If they have "Allmarket Promotions Inc. Bala" they are Circle K cups no branding first print run.
  3. possible to take a few pictures? These cups were manufactured for use by different companies. Some had branding others did not. Those companies that paid for the licensing use of these cups that wanted their logo on the cups would have had to pay for that. Slurpee was 7-11, but you could go to a different chain and get a slush. Icee was obtained at many convenience stores not called 7-11. image below of Spider-man Icee cup. Circle-K also used these cups, some had branding like the ones below. Your cup is a 1978 Circle-K cup, without the branding but a misprint version. Image of one like it attached.
  4. your cup is a first printing / first manufactured, and yes they caught the error and corrected it as you are aware. Your cup is a gen-you-whine oddity / rare. Thanks for sharing!
  5. 8.5 Bottom spine crunch is significant as is the spine tics at the top staple.
  6. you fill in the forms at their booth and give them your book(s). CGC takes the books with them to their facility in Florida after the show to grade and encapsulate. You eliminate a single cost: shipping to them. You still pay for the service you selected and the shipping back to you from Florida. You still have to wait the time period for turn-around. If I was in the position to submit books to CGC in person I would do it every single time as it is my opinion the book you ship to them is subject to: -damage during shipping -loss during shipping -theft during shipping which I feel is far less likely to happen giving it to CGC at a show. The cost of shipping the book to CGC versus the cost of attending the convention is the other consideration. If it costs you $100 to attend the show but $30 to ship the book with tracking and insurance then you need to decide if the cost is worth it to attend the show to eliminate the risks of shipping to CGC.
  7. I am a fan of Brady, loved watching him play for his dedication, skill and competitiveness. Otherwise his constant need for attention on social media is annoying. In fact I think there should be a league rule that you can not announce your retirement during the season and especially during the playoffs as the focus should be on the games. Just saying. All that said I have zero interest in the movie for many of the reasons already mentioned.
  8. currently how fast is the "Walk-through" service?
  9. I am in Canada and when I tried it gave me choices, I made the selection and done.
  10. There is more going on than just the spine tics. Please post pics of the front and back of the whole book.
  11. I find it hard to see the images for the books in the new releases section because they are to small. I have to open every link to get a good look at the book.
  12. Agreed! Here is a sample of some brilliant writing from one of my favorite writers
  13. Sent in my Australian #15. Love this book, and it is the only slabbed copy.
  14. My Planet 15 Purchased a CGC qualified 1.5. The cover was detached and was falling down inside the slab. I saw a posting by Roy Thomas of PSArtbooks who was making the Planet Compendiums and they publicly asked for scans of a #15, and since the cover of mine was sliding down in the slab I cracked it and scanned my book. In addition to the detached cover the 2 center wraps were detached. Sent the book to CCS and they did a leaf casting and put it back together. Thrilled with the result to be honest.
  15. a few more upgrades to my thread that I have ignored for so long... Planet #51 Promised Collection pedigree
  16. It is my opinion that comic sellers should only be offering books they have in hand. This pre-order /exclusives business model is nothing but trouble. I speak from experience as I ordered books from an online seller last year and they took 12 months to arrive, these were raw not CGC graded. The seller in my scenario had good communication with me and eventually made good on my order and it was explained to me that the artist did not send the books to them. If anything, the experience was a learning one for me and I am done buying pre-order/ exclusives.

  18. did you try talking to the seller directly? I assume you did.... They seem to still have some Batman 108's in cgc cases maybe they can make things right for you.
  19. it doesn't matter what they "used to do" it matters what they are doing now if you are going to resubmit. The quality control referred to is about each and every stage of the process. -Shipping the book to CGC risks damage in shipping and loss/theft of the book -Someone that receives your package and opens it might drop it, damage it, lose it, etc. -the person who takes the book and adds it to the system and takes it to the graders may damage it, drop it -the actual graders and how they inspect/handle the 100th book of their day on Friday because they are required to hit book grading quota and they are behind. -the encapsulation process. I have a book that was damaged after the grading process where the encapsulation caused a very small tear to become very large. -the shipping back to you again risks damage, loss, theft. There are so many different situations where something can happen and it is an unfortunate part of the risk of this service. With all of that in mind I say enjoy your fabulous CGC 9.4 white pages copy.
