  1. I loved this poster, such nice shape and the color on it for a 1970 poster. I also liked the uncut Steranko art card sheet at the bottom of the pile.
  2. WD-40 also works very well. After the sticky residue is gone I just lightly wipe off the WD-40. Works very well.
  3. I have been seeing this type of connectivity on the boards for a week now. Not sure what is wrong.
  4. I only saw the comics. it is all there. the comics all had a curve to them because of storage issues.
  5. There were quite a few Kirby signatures on books, magazines and for all I know possibly even some comics but I didn't see those. I wasn't taking pictures at that time of the quick room dig. Later Dave suggested I take a picture of something and I asked the owner for permission to do so and he was ok with it so I began taking pictures. We ran out of time as we had to drive back home. I did take a picture of this pin collection ( that was strangely omitted by Dave...wonder why that is? ) and it is signed by Kirby:
  6. A book of that value I would be tempted to go to the sellers location somehow ( drive, bus, fly ) and pick the book up and carry it home. I have also had awful experiences with sending and delivery. Sending: -I had a book I sent out to a trusted board member disappear. I sent it insured, signature confirmation and with tracking. The book was delivered and signed for, but not to my buyer. Because it was "successfully delivered" I have no insurance option. Just out a nice book and refund the buyer. Delivery: -Had a Hulk 3 that was sent in a manila envelope arrive shoved under my door folded in half with an elastic band around it and my other mail. -Had an Iron Man 1 CGC 9.2 left at the front door - except I lived in an apartment building of 36 units. Left at the front door outside the main building! Lucky me I arrived within a minute of it happening: the postal truck was driving away from my parking lot when I arrived. As I park and walk up to the entrance 2 other people have already looked at the package and gone inside. A third guy bends down to look at the package as I am walking up, he sees me coming and says "Man I can't believe this was just left here. I feel bad for the owner."
  7. we bidders are either extremely good at estimating the final price of the books we bid on ( possible but unlikely) OR there is internal shenanigans going on to make the most amount of money ( more likely ).
  8. Happy you won your books. Annoyed that it cost you more. Always has amazed me how many auctions I win at exactly my highest bid.
  9. hi Jb I happened to purchase one of the original Planet pages you sold. I proudly add it to my complete run.
  10. I am sorry. I couldn't resist, that head chop splash is killer! I was away all day, I just got home and started eating my dinner and logged in to check.
  11. Interesting. Thanks for the information. I love the piece, it has a subtle humor to it
  12. Marvel has a problem when anyone is using their properties to make money, unfortunately.
