  1. I used to drink Coke Zero. Now I do not find any pop refreshing. Just gives me bad dry-mouth.
  2. I own a book that has brittle pages. Planet Comics 5. At the time I purchased the book, it was the only copy I had seen for sale in 2 years.
  3. A signed book for personal keepsake: get the book you like the most signed. A book that you might sell in the future get it slabbed signature series. Is McFarlane doing signature series at Baltimore? He didn't at Calgary when I was there and only offered free signatures ( which was very nice of him as he was busy all day ).
  4. I have questions in return. 1. Do you already own some McFarlane books to consider being signed? 2. Is it for sentimental reasons to have the book signed? Or is it for resale later? 3. Are you wanting the signed book to be graded and get the yellow signature series?
  5. all that needs is a word balloon added: Forsooth! Thou art witnessing my munificence!
  6. Wouldn't surprise me. Odin seems to have a hat fetish.
  7. The cape is vastly different. I would think they would just choose some art that wouldn't require so many changes to produce.
  8. Yep. Use the image you found ( thanks ! ) and then use the new cup source for the beard.
  9. This is very helpful! Thank you.
  10. I found that very image on Ebay as well and used EBay's image enlargement tool and then took a photo of it on my camera. Should work. I also found that image online from the comic it was in. Page 33 of something, either the Silver Surfer 4, or the Tales of Asgard is what was suggested. I am not sure.
  11. Also still searching for the back views of the 2 Hulk cups. I have found one, for the cup with the Trimpe art on it, the Romita cup back view eludes me. I am searching for what the word balloon says. I found an image of all 3 Hulk cups with back views but it is so small the text is unreadable. I have found the back view of the Spider-man cup but it is a very bad image, but I think I will just find a decent Peter Parker face drawn by Romita and do my best.
  12. Thank you! is that a chicken on his hat?
  13. Thanks everyone for the help! All I am looking for now is a back view of the Odin cup. I have found several back views so I have the word balloon/ saying, what I can't find is a decent view of Odin's head from the back of a cup. I have considered buying a cup as suggested, I am worried I won't get it in time. Odin sure has a lot of hats!
  14. appreciate the advice. I will try to search for the posters. I did a search on Ebay and found a lot of the cups there, I used the enlarge image function Ebay has and I took photos using my camera to try to get a better image to work from.
  15. Hi all, I am trying to locate images from 7-11 cups for a client of mine who is wanting some artwork produced. What I am looking for is a decent image of the front and the back of these 7-11 cups. Or, if you know where the images on the cups are from that might help as well. These are the best pictures I have been able to find. The Odin cup is very hard to make out the detail. Each cup has a back image with a word balloon that has the character saying something profound. I am desperately seeking these images. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  16. Very happy to have added this page to my complete Planet Comics run. From Planet Comics #24. I hung it in my hallway so I can look at it everyday.
  17. I strongly dislike letting anyone into my place. I had a break in many years ago, it really does change you. In those days I had a 2 bedroom apartment and I had comics in frames all along the hallways. I had a technician in to setup my internet, and a couple of days later several of my comics went missing. I can't prove it was that tech, but I am sure it was him. My favorite transactions are out of my car. One time I had a frequent buyer contact me looking for a few books he knew I had ( he sold them to me! ), and knowing what type of books he likes I seeded my trunk with boxes of books. We meet up in a McDonald's parking lot, and I tell him the books are in the trunk and I open it up and he sees 6-7 longs of books. He asks "what is all this?" And I say I hadn't unloaded since the last show ( a few weeks previous ). Sure enough he looked through the boxes and bought more than he planned to
  18. And don't forget your partner would have to leave his place at 3:00 AM to get to your place at 3:30. I remember the drive home the time we did drive in on the same day: You were falling asleep and we had to stop frequently, and you got out and walked around to wake up. I am happy to pay for that hotel.
  19. swiping is a very common practice. I recall reading a thread about Greg Land art. He has been a notorious swiper.
  20. Attended a one day comic show in Calgary this weekend and I picked up 2 books. Paid half sticker in CDN so I am happy:
  21. Ok, thanks for letting me know. I wasn't all that happy with the Planet Comics 13 I bought. I didn't bother to return it due to return shipping cost.
