  1. That is the gist of the conversation I had with Ebays technical support person.
  2. I don`t work in the industry now but I did a few years back working in costume conceptual design. I did some creative design work on the Batman costume that was in Batman Begins as an example.
  3. The issue was: I registered as an ebay user a very long time ago ( I think 1998 or 1999 ) and at that time the only choice I had was to register under the USA. Since the creation of Ebay.ca (which as a Canadian I am required to use to list) I actually had not listed on Ebay. I could not list on Ebay.ca since my account is registered under Ebay.com. Ebay.com will not accept my postal code which contains letters. You enter your postal code when you list the item and the system requires the item's current location. I spent hours on the phone with ebay support trying to resolve this. Perhaps simpler to say it has been a trying day and it is all fubar. The change made is: I have to use Ebay.ca to list. I did not know that.
  4. Hi, I am trying to list on Ebay, and the system is not accepting my postal code which must be numeric only. My postal code contains letters. Now I am thinking Ebay can no longer be used outside the USA. Is this the case?
  5. He did love it. We just never got to talk about how it should be finished.
  6. A drawing I did for my friend, who yesterday morning was killed in a vehicle crash. He was a descendant of Hornigold the pirate, and asked me for a drawing of "Conan, but wearing the outfit of Hornigold the pirate". I did not complete the drawing, as I was trying to ask my friend how he wanted it finished and we never got a chance to discuss it. RIP Steve.
  7. I think it looks ok. I don't typically like to have signatures on my comics. If I do get them signed I prefer it on the inside splash page rather than the cover. The Stan Lee signatures I have: 1. Page of Spider-Man art I did 2. Interior page from the very first comic I ever bought, FF 112: 3. my mint un-used Marvel Value Stamp Booklet:
  8. Art - because I like to draw and worked as an artist for 27 years before changing careers. Boy - I am a dude 99 - my favorite hockey player's number Avatar - one of my favorite books.
  9. the back cover top left that you call a "dust mark" looks like a stain to me, and likely is what CGC called it. Top left looks "off" in the pictures, some kind of waviness/ bend? Top right small creasing. Front pics it is difficult to see much. I can see why they graded the book at 7.5. Hey it is still a 7.5 ASM 129! Nice book to own.
  10. I wouldn't remove the tape, neither book is in the type of condition that the tape removal will make a difference. Both books are less than VG grade in my opinion. Yes the tape is a defect. As both books are keys they have some value even in low grade. Welcome to the boards!
  11. could those areas have had some color touch that was removed? Previously undetected?
  12. Overcrowded? Then build more. I say this guy has run out of his chances: Gaynor, who has served four stints in prison — three for drug dealing and one for attempted kidnapping — was conditionally released to parole in May.
  13. If you send it to CGC they will denote the signature like my copy:
  14. Just checked: there are several pictures on the internet of this store showing layout and one wall that contains slabs. Pictured is silver / bronze / copper age slabs. Looks great!
  15. I would rather the other dealer just send the customer to my booth. Then when he has something I don't I will return the favor.
  16. Yes, on my own wall. Just recently had a customer that wanted to buy: ASM 300 ASM 252 SW 8 NM 87 And I totaled it up, he was wanting all of them at 50% off. No thanks.
  17. If the book has some value ( the value threshold is a variable likely different from one buyer to the next ... see below ) you should take the book out and look at it. Back cover, look at the interior, count pages. But please, if the book is a dollar do you really need to take it out of the bag?
  18. The dealers at my local shows all ask for it. Then the book gets repriced 10% above what I had the book at and it goes on their wall. Even worse: customer in other dealers booth asking for a book he doesn't have. Comes to my booth, "gimme a deal gimme a deal." Buys the book from me, then goes back to his booth to sell it to the waiting customer. Some people do not play well with others. I stopped giving deals to other dealers.
  19. I am also wondering why buyers expect discounts off of key books that are fairly priced?
  20. very deep color strike for sure! I have a couple of copies with that cover:
