  1. Grade the book without considering the stains. What do you get? Then deduct another 1.0 for the stains. You could post the book in the "Please Grade My" section to see what others think. Hard for me to give a grade without seeing the back cover.
  2. I think it is a 6.5. It would grade higher if not for the chip out of the back.
  3. You are correct, I do not know the motivations as to why the OP is wanting to submit.
  4. Not restoration as it does nothing to attempt to improve the perceived grade of the book. Just a couple of stains and it is to bad as otherwise this is a pretty copy.
  5. I would take the time to scan the 2 books you want to submit, then post them in the "Please Grade My.." forum and get a board consensus as to what the grade of the books are in advance. There is little point in sending in a new 52 Batman #1 that is a 9.0
  6. I disagree regarding one aspect: I think the success and popularity of the Movies and TV shows is stimulating the market somewhat. They introduce new buyers who may have never bought before by bringing the subject to attention, and the movie success has been for several years now: Over 10+ helping to create some sustainability.
  7. Not good stuff and way to expensive at $2 a book which is the sellers current price. When the owner lowers his price to 0.10 C a book I will return, until then we are done buying from him.
  8. The McFarlane Spider-man drove me out of comics. I didn't return until 2004 and I soon after joined these forums.
  9. Not part of current DC Universe continuity. Nolan never wanted them to be either.
  10. drawn on a blank the artist can obtain a signature form. with that it will get yellow label
  11. great article. Thanks for the share.
  12. The way business is being done is changing. I guarantee once the store posted to an online channel there were customers replying/ responding via that channel and deals were made within moments of the posting. To wait until they opened and call them "old school" was to long. This is something I have been noticing via a few of the LCS here. Books have been sold within a minute of the first posting.
  13. Shhhh, as per the owner we are not to talk of this in open forum.
  14. Perhaps. I think WW is as good as IM 1. IM 1 had a far better villain, but WW has better character development of WW herself.
  15. Just saw this film. I loved it, and Gadot really does an amazing job as Wonder Woman. When they announced this movie and before they cast the part, I had said to many co-workers and friends that the character needs to be many things: Be a Hero Be beautiful Have the presence of royalty: she is the princess of the Amazons Be able to fight like one of the greatest Amazon Gadot is all of those things in this film. The criticisms others have mentioned, I don't have issues with at all. 9.5/10
  16. Vampirella #1 with interior signature Hi all, I don't venture into the signature area, but I recently acquired a nice condition Vampirella #1 that has a signature in the interior that I am wondering about. Has anyone seen a Frazetta signature like this on a comic before? All the ones I see are on the covers. The signatures I have seen or can find on the internet are also all horizontal to the book, this signature on my Vampirella #1 is vertical. Where it is there isn't much room for a signature so I can see why it is the way it is. Anyone know if Frazetta took signature requests for placement? Did he ever sign inside comics? Thanks all, I am tying to determine if it is possibly real.
  17. I love that cover! I honestly do not know what to make of that signature. I can not find any other like it on a comic or magazine. One other comment is his signature always seems to be horizontal, but in the case of my Vampirella there isn't much room for it to go anywhere but where it is so I guess it might explain why it is turned. Of course I have no idea but maybe the owner asked for it to be signed there?
  18. I regret selling my Tec' 69 as well, and now the book has a rather high value per point so I am afraid it is unlikely I will ever own another. Here was mine:
  19. While I own the book it is from an era I never really read. I read the first 20 or so books of that run, then didn't read for about 130 -140 issues and for some reason I started reading again around 160 ( I liked the cover, with T & A ) and the next thing you know the series was done. Funny how I didn't read backwards, I just kept reading the books coming out.
  20. And yet I have seen lots of auctions ( especially Ebay ) where the advert is used to try to sell the DD 115 book.
