  3. Yes I am still taking commissions, I think to be able to get a sketch CGC signature series the sketch has to be completed at a convention that has a CGC booth correct?
  4. That Black Cat Mystery 50 is easily my favorite cover of all time. The look on his face is absolutely priceless, even though that tiny bar of radium could never make that happen. I'm still searching for a 8.0 or higher One day I will likely upgrade it, I love the cover to. Also love Tomb of Terror 15, similar fate to the guy's face on that cover as well. ( my current avatar is from the Tomb of terror ) Took me awhile to even find the 3.0 I have. I seem to find 2.5's-3.0 or 9.4's of this book, nothing in between. I myself would be very happy with a 6.0 maybe a 7.0.
  5. As I continue to browse all the wonderful threads of books in the golden age section of the boards my want list continues to grow.
  6. I never used to collect golden age books. I was a zombie of Marvel comics from 1965-1980, the era I collected when I was a kid. Recently ( Dec 2009 ) I made my first ever golden aged purchase which was this Tomb of Terror 1: Once I got the book I found I really liked it, the image on the cover to the feel of the book. I have since been hooked on Golden aged books, moreso the pre-code horror but not limited to that genre. Recent pre-code purchases:
  7. I also grabbed these books: I am definitely HOOKED on these golden aged books!
  8. Very nice page. The use of photo-copied text glued onto the page is an interesting idea for my own recreations. With some work in a paint program the text boxes could be cleaned up well enough that the print out would look real clean. Might try that on the next piece I do to see the result.
  9. Vampire portrait, board member wanted his wife drawn how I thought she would look as a vampire. Un-used sketch for Zombie story published in Deaf Mute Comics Sketch cover for a Surfer Lover boardie Recreations: These were HUGE! 16 x 24" and a couple of regular 11 x 17 sized: My client for the FF 45 also got it done in color:

  14. Thanks! I also tried for the issue 5 they had but fumbled and bumbled when I placed my bid and confirmed the system said my bid needed to exceed the minimum and I thought I had and I went backwards and hit submit again and well...you snooze you lose.
