I personally bag and board every comic individually. Later in life if you decide to sell your book is already good to go as it is bagged with a board. If it is only worth a dollar you can throw it into the dollar bin. If it has value congratulations it is well preserved because you bagged and boarded it.

the other problem is it looks like whoever put that graphic together grabbed photos that were taken of costume fittings - front view to create their layout. The actors standing with arms hanging straight down, which isn't all that exciting. Emotionless and boring.

as long as you are not using the printer's feeder to get the comic to the scanning bed.... -

'PLANET COMICS' (is deserving of its own thread)
Artboy99 replied to Paul © ® ⚽️💙™'s topic in Golden Age Comic Books
The Promise Collection book I own is graded accurately in my opinion (thankfully). I agree though that there were several Promise books that made me shake my head with regard to the grade. -

all they need to do is change the title of the film to "The New Adventures of Snow White" and then all the people triggered by the changes no longer care.- 154 replies

'PLANET COMICS' (is deserving of its own thread)
Artboy99 replied to Paul © ® ⚽️💙™'s topic in Golden Age Comic Books
Hello my friend! I own the Cage copy of #6, which also presents way nicer than the given 6.5 grade due to a small spine split at bottom ( about 1/2" ) -

Why do the Micronauts not get the love the transformers do?
Artboy99 replied to NoMan's topic in Comics General
a popular opinion, but actually Baron Karza came out before Star Wars was released. The vague resemblance of Karza and Vader can likely attributed to "great minds think alike" Some fans familiar with Karza only through the Marvel comic have assumed that his resemblance to Darth Vader was an attempt to cash in on the Star Wars phenomenon, but Karza predated Vader, and reportedly was inspired by a character in the Japanese anime Kotetsu jeeg (1975–1976). -

WB's BLUE BEETLE movie starring Xolo Mariduena (2023)
Artboy99 replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
I am all for a get together, have some food, talk comics and enjoy the company of friends. Not sure this movie needs to be the reason, do you actually want to see it?- 263 replies

Thanks Wayne for picking those posters up! The last one: There were 2 of them in the collection, one of them as you have shown the other was a nice condition one that was unfolded! If memory serves it was purchased by another CGC board member at the same Calgary Expo. The original seller had hundreds of posters, and this image is the picture I took of the first cardboard storage folder being opened...the Cap poster was right in the middle.

What's your lowest-CGC-graded comic in your personal collection?
Artboy99 replied to Jesse-Lee's topic in Comics General
Mine is this Planet Comics #14 When I was looking for a copy of #14 this is the only one I found after about 6 months of searching so I bought it (on Ebay) thinking I could upgrade it later. When I see upgrades available they go for rather high prices and my opinion is this copy presents well for the grade. -

Hulk 181 trimmed?
Artboy99 replied to Calidream'n's topic in Comic Book Grading and Restoration Issues
Fake book on the left, real on the right. The colors are way off on the fake book as are the margins. I believe it is a printed copy rather than some lightened, or chemically washed book. It is fake. -

was my suspicion as well, looks like a fake book especially the interior image that includes the letters pages. -

It can be expensive to see a movie and if the film is a turd then you feel burned and are perhaps less likely to go to the next movie (thanks Antman Quantumania!)
-
I personally don't care but I acknowledge it is weird and think it is better to avoid going there. The time it took him to open the microwave, eat part of the burrito and throw the other half, grab the baby, put it into the microwave and close the door he could have just moved the falling infant. Or perhaps we remove everything about that particular infant and leave the rest if the writers insist rescuing falling babies is the way to go.
-
it is a bad idea/ concept. Remove it from the film and then the scene does not have a potentially offensive moment. Thankfully none of the babies looked real and looked like fake plastic dolls which is another issue entirely.
-
I can agree with this, yet there is so many awful scenes included for "humor" that really drop the film a lot for me ( as in I can't look past those scenes, forget they happened in favor of the rest of the movie) -Slob with Eric Stoltz tattoo on his calf -girl "burp talking" I'm Batman - UGH -Flash putting a baby into a microwave. -Younger Barry ( he is extremely annoying) etc.
