  1. Where do you see a coverless Supes 1? I don’t even see a sig line.
  2. Well maybe you're right, I'm starting to change my allegiance. Didn't see the page quality difference and the fact that the Tec 27 is a pedigree. Maybe the Tec will get the win. I just remember seeing an Action 1 CGC 5.0 and Tec 27 (if I recall CGC 6.0) at SDCC three years ago with Metropolis and they were asking the same price for both or $650K. I mean Action 1 does appear to be the bigger book still imop. However, I'm sure Tec 27 has gotten closer to Action 1 since then and so with the 1-point grade difference, better page quality and a pedigree you're probably right.
  3. I'm going to go with the Action 1, and I'd prefer it to.
  4. The seller was Rene from that show Storage Wars.
  5. Oh ok, so this is likely legit. Thanks for the info!
  6. Definitely a more fearful situation, but would be fun to see lol.
  7. Or let one go auction style and see what happens ?.
  8. https://m.ebay.com/itm/Batman-5-Fine-6-0-Jerry-Robinson-personal-collection-signed-1st-Batmobile-app-/173105827297 Hi All, I came across this on EBay and don’t understand how it’s possible. Didn’t Jerry sign one copy from every book solely with CGC back in 2009 for the Jerry Robinson Collection? How could PGX have one from the collection, unless someone deslabbed a CGC copy and got it graded with PGX, but not sure why you would do that. Thoughts?
  9. Yeah, crazy book. What grade are the two copies you have?
  10. For sure, in that scenario I know I at least take the brittle complete copy in a second over an incomplete book.
  11. The 5.0 looks like the colors on the cover pop more to me, but maybe it was just the photos and how they were taken.
  12. I imagine the pedigree had at least a little to do with this sale, but not going to claim much. I'd say a normal 9.0 is definitely in the $8K and up range still.
  13. So if I own a comic that is missing the back cover, has the front cover and all the interior pages, but several of the pages are missing large pieces that affect the story, would that be a blue label .5 or qualified .5? I assume it’s a .5 regardless since it has the front cover, but was curious what affect the large missing pieces that affect story might have? Thanks for the help!
  14. I guess now is a good time to pick up a lower mid grade copy of AF15. At least at auction.
  15. Yeah I guess so. I have noticed the decline your talking of with AF15. Not drastic as I remember Hulk 1, and definitely not in the higher grades, but there has been a minor price correction in some grades.
  16. It did go up several years ago, but seemed to go through a decline for some reason shortly after. It's definitely been steady for the last couple years though.
  17. Is this book ever going to have a major increase in price like AF 15 and now ASM 1 seems to be doing? I mean it's rarer, tougher in mid to higher grade due to the dark cover and is obviously a big 1st appearance key. Not as well loved as Spiderman of course, not even close it seems, but still.
  18. I just read through Action Comics #1-#5 and saw nothing. As far as I can tell, in comic book form he is first mentioned as the Man of Steel in Action Comics #6.
  19. Sweet, it's the day after I get back from Hawaii. I'm going!!
  20. Yeah there's actually a CGC 5.5 about to hit a Comicconnect auction so I'm going to follow that one. In regards to will this book pull a WW once the eventual movie comes out, definitely possible. So probably better to get a copy sooner than later for sure!
