  1. There's definitely copies available every so often. Shouldn't be tough to find in low grade.
  2. What grade is "appropriate for you" and what's correctly graded are two different things. You're more than welcome to feel it's not a 9.9, nor will you ever be bidding on it, but that doesn't change the fact CGC felt being a manufacturing flaw it should correctly not detract from the grade.
  3. Well didn’t have a clue what it would go for, had it gone for more than this I wouldn’t have been surprised at all. But definitely an impressive sale! Still can’t believe a random raw copy was discovered somewhere and was this nice. They’re still out there folks!
  4. It’s either one way or the other then I guess. I get the part of the book you referenced, but according to the website it’s allowed on a 9.9. Guess there’s potential interpretation. If you ask me, the GSX1 and this are 9.9’s 🤷‍♂️. At the end of the day doesn’t matter much to me regardless because I ain’t shelling out the dinero for either book. But I do personally think they’re appropriate.
  5. Then you answered the question for me. They didn't consider it a miswrap.
  6. I posted the video because that’s predominantly what I see in here now and on social media. Just a lot of toxicity and being anti CGC because it’s popular. I highly respect James for that take.
  7. My two acquisitions. Got the 36 in an even trade with Harley and the 33 in a partial trade/cash with another dealer. Can’t remember their name.
  8. Depends what “pretty good shape” means as far as whether that book is truthfully worth grading. With that being said if you still want to, that book would simply go in the vintage tier for pressing/cleaning with CCS and the same with grading.
  9. I mean they make it pretty clear 9.9's can have a slight miswrap, allowing for a very minor manufacturing defect, which is what that is. Hence the reason there's 10.0's. So not sure what the issue is. 9.9's allow it, 10.0's don't. Now if you see a 10.0 with that or any manufacturing defect, then we have a problem and a misgrade.
  10. Tough to know. It’s an insane grade for that book and being single highest graded, skies the limit. My 7.5 sold for $2100 about two years ago. Was 3rd highest graded at the time when a 9.0 was the highest, until this was graded more recently.
  11. Yeah Vanessa is a great actress. Was awesome in the FF spinoff, Hobbs and Shaw. I haven’t thought of the other roles as much. I like Cillian Murphy for Doom though, and agree Bardem is a solid choice for Galactus.
  12. Well to be fair, I'm not sure you can really compare modern books and books from other eras. I mean the paper is soo different so certain defects are approached differently I believe. Additionally, there may be slight leniencies due to defects caused during the time that were I want to say done on a wide scale. Compared to modern where everyone clearly were handling comics with considerably more care. But the photos were before I got it pressed and cleaned. So might have bumped it a half a grade to from what you're seeing. I'll post photos when it comes back.
  13. No no all good. I wasn't sure if you were serious or joking lol.
  14. If you're serious more than happy to work something out lol. Feel free to DM me and I'll let you know when it comes in.
