  1. $156 does not sound nuts for the 9.8. Moats 70s books seem to be around there in 9.8. $275 is someone who is blind and doesn't recognize a reprint.
  2. Well, I took a $50 chance on something. The seller seemed professional and sane. Offered extra pictures before sending his payment info. We shall see!
  3. True enough there aren't deals on expensive books for the most part. I enjoy the hunt for small gems. A couple of years back, the October before suicide squad, I spent about $1000 on assorted $1-3 box books and less. About 600 books over 4 days. I made it back on sales of about 50 of them, which was nice, but that was the last time I did much finding $25-50 books in $1-3 boxes.
  4. My friend who owned a shop used to go to these potential purchases if it looked like a lot of $ with off duty police/customers. When I look at nyc craigs list ads there is no way I am walking into these with thousands in my pocket.
  5. Kubert dynamic forces COA books seem to get $7-$15, depending, but these look to be kind of beat up, so maybe not here
  6. $70 for 4 days isn't bad. Last time I had a "presenter" badge and people kept on asking me what I was presenting, but in prior years he had gotten me VIP passes. Fact is, I should just save the money I'd be spending on comics as it is harder and harder to find a great deal at that show. Maybe I do the one out in Long Island 2 weeks prior. Anyone have a sense of that one?
  7. Man, I got so spoiled getting free passes for me and my family so many years in a row. My connection won't be there this year so I am out of luck.
  8. You are legally bound to sell them to me for 25 cents each because I am so clever and literal.
  9. OK, I guess he's not telling anyone anything they don't already know with this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Spawn-2-Todd-Mcfarlane-1st-print-VG-Fine-condition-500-copies-available/233135150842?hash=item3647f016fa:g:ESIAAMXQYwFRgXx2 And if you were a silly like me and thought once you get into the 100s they are getting tougher: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Spawn-111-VF-NM-50-copies-available/333098741783?hash=item4d8e3b7017:g:wNcAAOxy63FSp9Po (Seriously, who was speculating on Spawn at issue 111???)
  10. 1-100 has a FMV of around $250-$300. It doesn't help when you have listings like this on books some folks might have thought were a little harder to find that the early issues: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Spawn-72-1st-print-VF-NM-100-copies-available/331509510375?hash=item4d2f81b0e7:g:NIsAAMXQE9hSAl9I https://www.ebay.com/itm/Spawn-91-1st-print-VF-NM-200-copies-available/330982571118?hash=item4d10193c6e:g:ERgAAMXQ4uJSAnnn Seriously, why emphasize the fact that you have a ton of them? (He listed several issues in the 60s - 90s like this). I
  11. You can always list the spawns at some premium over FMV at a fixed price with a BIN and see if someone makes an offer you can't refuse.
  12. No, it was in my shop's cheap box. Unless it was a mainstream book he didn't know what to do with it a and used to chuck a lot of interesting stuff in there before he started doing more internet research.
  13. Early Cheryl blossom.$2 from the guy who sells comics and stuff on tbe street by me.
  14. Not keeping up with moderns I did Not know what it was when I bought 3 out of a 25 cent box. I figured spidey forc25 cents can't go wrong. Probably left 10-15 behind. At the time it had not popped, but was still probably $7-10.
  15. The 3rd print I sold was a cgc9.8 and I think I got less than $250. Anyway, I don't know what print I sold years ago for $25. I think there was less on the internet to educate me and I stupidly put it up with a $25 Bin figuring I had paid 50 cents or whatever. It went so quickly I figure someone knew exactly which one it was.
  16. I am inclined to think of all the bws issues as key just because there is not much otherwise in 275 issues. The savage swords, particularly the first 50 issues, are lovely books.
  17. Sorry, those scans are long gone. I sold a third print recently, but those are not HTF
  18. Geminis are fine but you definitely still need to do a cardboard sandwich taped up.too much wiggle room otherwise.
  19. He is a cigar smoking wise cracking racoon in space who carries an oversize gun around with him. "Oh, and in case there is any doubt that the “Rocky” who showed up in Marvel Preview is the actual Rocket Raccoon who will appear in the movies, in an afterward to his Rocket Raccoon #1 in 1985, Bill Mantlo does specifically state that Rocky and Rocket are the same character. So there you have it, True Believers, the first appearances and origin of Rocket Raccoon." https://bamsmackpow.com/2014/08/08/first-appearances-rocket-raccoon-retro-review/ So, we now know that Rocket Racoon is immortal, or time travels, or can dimension jump to Earth 7614, as Preview 7 takes place 10,000 years in the future
  20. https://nextshark.com/simu-liu-shang-chi-asian-boss/ Box office flop in china. not hot enough.
  21. Wow, him not being "hot enough" to play the part is an actual thing being fervently discussed in asia
