  1. I am so blasted with my real job(s) right now I am lagging on my ebay job. Only so many hours in the day.
  2. wow, they apparently spent $200 million on season 1. ouch. i did not think it was as terrible as a lot of people and was kind of hoping for a season 2 once the way too dragged out origin story was finally over. i've seen far worse get a second season, but at $25 milion or so an episode, I understand why they gave up.
  3. sure, i guess i should be slabbing hundreds of books and then i guess my cost is more like $25 a book.
  4. the white cover only had 15K? that's the only one I have, but it has a couple of dings, so nothing to get excited about.
  5. yeah, but a lot of times you aren't making 500%. sell a slab you paid $60 for (before taxes and shipping) for $90 and you are breaking even or losing money, even though it went "up" 50%.
  6. All these MCP Kieth's have cool covers and the venom and wolverine stuff is cool, other than the fact that there seem to be trillions of them out there, I am surprised more have not popped. (With that said, Comichron gives the impression that there are not vast quantities of them, at least by early 90s standards)
  7. I passed on like 10 dollar box copies the other day. I even passed on a bunch of newsstands on ebay or facebook at $1 a pop. I'm not going there.
  8. Ravage 2099 came out months earlier. Is this some multiverse Ravage?
  9. I watch a few things there. I have "cheap" hulu as part of a bundle with disney+, so the commercials are a little annoying. I thought Son of Satan was interesting, although maybe you don't want to invest in a 10 (12?) episode show that was cancelled. I guess the Constantine show suffered a similar short fate, but DC has made sure to bring him back from time to time (even using the same actor), it would be dumb to let the character die on the vine.
  10. it is weird because stiltman actually battles spiderman in the "Bar with no name" and his funeral was there in one of the comics, so he's actually connected to it
  11. It is going to be hard for the sequel not to be a bit disappointing even if it is really good. i'm saying it here, but dr. strange needs to do some experiments on him at arkham that jolt his IQ or something, because I do agree, a barely literate guy can't be the joker, nor can this version make Harley fall in love with him. Gotham at least had a genius become the joker.
  12. when you watch the show you will know why. pretty R rated
  13. Described as "perfect condition" on facebook ... an ebay seller wouod at least have the decency to make sure the photo is fuzzy enough that you can't see anything:
  14. yeah, unless this is just the young kraven origin story... he had to be young at some point ...
  15. I don't feel like he is big and scarey enough, but I guess there may not be enough big and scarey leading men out there who can pull off the role, and having some sex appeal may sell tickets if he is the main character. this is the trickey part about a non-cgi villian being the lead.
  16. You're wrong, but that's ok. You're entitled to your [wrong] opinion.
  17. "If this movie was released on another premise, I think it would have actually done better." Better than over a billion at the box office even without a china release? Not a chance. "This is not about Joker, has nothing to do with Joker and was a publicity stunt to put rear ends into seats..." Given that there have been like 10 completely different origins of the joker (the movie being closer to the "Killing Joke" version, except with mental illness playing a bigger role) how are you coming to this conclusion? This perhaps just shows the point where is non-violent mental illness became violent. So far we don't see it as malicious or sadistic, sure, but give him some time in Arkham, that can evolve. Gotham had an origin of the joker that was COMPLETELY different than anything we had ever seen. Even further from the comics than the Joker movie, arguably. He frigging grew up with Grayson's parents, I think he might have been Grayson's cousin or something. In the comics DC loves playing with different versions of characters and "elseworlds", this is just one of those. Yes, it is a stand alone movie, but let's be serious, if they can make another one for $60 million it seems like another one makes sense as it would be hard for it not to make money. The real issue is whether Phoenix has it in him to do this again. And DC is going to want a movie that nudges him closer to what we view as the Joker. "Which sucks for people like me who want to see a story based translation to the screen, instead of thoughtless pandering." Except that Joker was a terrific movie on its own. With multiple origin stores are they supposed to pick just one?
  18. it showed the possible origin of a guy who might evolve into something (although they present him as possibly having some learning disabilities too, which might make it hard for him to be a criminal mastermind unless something changes, which can be easily done with some experimenting at Arkham..) also, him as a cult figure getting big groups of people crazed, which we saw a bit of in Gotham (although that joker origin was pretty darn convoluted), possibly in the zillion joker stories in the comics, dunno
  19. indiewire gave it a bad review. bunch of losers. and we have the modok toy they show in the show. same exact one.
  20. It is pretty funny. I binged like 7 episodes with my kid this weekend. And who knew Marvel would reintroduce mutants and x-men villians via MODOK? I am loading up on DD 100s right now! And now Amazing Fantasy 7 is a double semi minor key. Maybe Marvel Boy 3 as well.
  21. I have to think the PGX 10 is going to be worth more than a CGC 9.8 at $300-350. There are a few pgx 10s for sale at crazy high prices, so even 1/2 of crazy high is 7X the cost of a cg 9.8
  22. yes, actually it was a bit more, i had them up, with a best offer, really beautiful copies, but nobody inquired. i had the set up for $50 or $60, which might have been aggressive, but that never stops anyone from a lower offer usually. with that said, it seems unclear whether "the power broker" is no more as that still makes sense as carter's street name while she moles her way into the guvment again, but i guess it's just a name and people aren't gonna be so excited. with that said, a mid-grade copy just sold for $25 and a pretty nice one for $26.
  23. When the ink was running a bit low on the press toward the end of a batch or something and the colors are not as bright I don't see that referred to as a misprint. they just didn't keep adding ink constantly to make sure the colors popped on every copy. so your orange copy is worth about 25-50 cents. I know we like to call everything an "error variant" or "misprint variant," but this likely impacted thousands of copies.
