  1. I didn’t know there was even a newsstand edition of that book. Well done.
  2. #18 is last Newsstand edition of this Deadpool Series. I’ve got the full newsstand run minus issue 2. Not that I can’t find one, just can’t find one at the price I want.
  3. I find that it is very accurate for books that sell often, but the default price multipliers for books sold rarely can show some unrealistic estimated values. As a paid subscriber you can customize your own own price multipliers for a given book.
  4. Total accident, it was bagged/boarded for $5 at a con. I took it as a potential upgrade.
  5. Web of Spider-man 1 missing Most black ink on multiple pages.
  6. Haven’t come across any more books but I’m looking forward to taking the family to see Frozen 2 in less than a month.
  7. I take the author as saying the superhero tropes have overstayed their usefulness. Back when Spider-Man got his first movie with modern CG I was in awe, watching my favorite conic book superhero Spidey swing through NY in a graphically realistic manner for the first time. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed superhero movies in the almost 20yrs since, but honestly after watching Thanos snap his fingers I realized Iwas done with the MCU, and had waning interest in others. It was a great run and now it’s been done. All of the speculation and news on the next phase(s) just isn’t exciting to me. Maybe it’s just me.
  8. That looks like a bindery tear and I cannot think of how that could have been caused in the slab. 9.8’s can have bindery tears and most do to some extent. 10’s are supposed to be perfect. This is further reason I don’t trust a 9.9 or 10 grade and will not pay a premium for one. Im Getting to the point where I want to shop for modern graded 9.6’s in hand to find one that looks a 9.8.
  9. Welcome back! Many of us have similar stories here. Just this year I found my run of Spawn 1-72 that I forgot I had and hadn’t seen since issue 72 was the newest.
  10. I have no gripes with any particular number grade. I do think a double decimal place grade would be awesome at preventing the OCD types from having all their books graded to the same number. Imagine getting a 9.76 grade but wanting everything a 9.8. Hilarity.
  11. All of my 2017 DC Rebirth issues. The Batman 24 can be seen by the eagle-eyed; that’s in a 9.8 case now.
  12. Here’s a few favorites already loaded in my phone
  13. Perhaps We need some boxes designed for our short boxes to fit into to keep them from getting damaged. I kid... kind of.
  14. I own precisely 0 of these. As stated previously, this is a baseless marketing ploy. I’m just not interested. Action and Detective Comics actually made 999 preceding issues; worthy of a special issue #1000.
  15. TMNT1 all day. I don’t trust 10 grade, way too fragile.
  16. I’d go with: IH181 ASM300 (actually have one in 9.6) Spawn1 black ink error. (Makes a scarce key out of a common key)
  17. I found my ASM Big Time newsie. I have 2 copies actually. Cover is $7.99 on the newsstand edition vs $5.99 for direct; a full $2 over the direct edition!
  18. I argue that too, kind of. Well, I consider it his 1st unnamed appearance. First full appearance is Venom 3, which I also own in all 4 prints. I like my symbiote stuff.
  19. I thought I had this in newsstand, then remembered mine is a 1shot collection of 648-650 using 648 cover art. It’s a newsstand and also a price variant I think, but I’ll have to check when I can.
  20. The only non price variants I’ve seen called out by CGC have different cover design, different quality interior paper, and/or have the situation where an insert (card or poster) was not included with newsstand editions. I think they should all be broken out. CBCS was on the right track but screwed up big time (get it? Big Time) with the pre-2000 designation cutoff.
  21. The Thor: God of Thunder books are not price variants in newsstand. All the 2011-13 marvel books I’ve considered that were $3.99 in direct edition were also $3.99 in newsstand. However, when the direct edition was $2.99, the newsstand was always $3.99, making a price variant. Oversize issues typically show $1 higher price in newsstand.
