  1. Ughh... I have tried tracking back down my first CGC graded comic and pretty sure @valiantman now owns it. I sold it a long time ago and still wish I didn't. Not that it is particularly valuable. It was just the early days of CGC and a sample label.
  2. The case could probably sell for more sealed as someone else may have the same theory as you, but I agree with what most on here have said . Short of sending in the best and even then trying to limit loss by prescreening you still may end up with a wash value wise. I may be wrong as I never opened a case, however I did receive several platinum editions of both 500 and 75 and they came later usually with a letter . I just tried looking back through my pictures and didn't find the letter for the 500 or 75 yet, but will update when I have a chance to dig and find them. In the mean time here are two letters I did find about Superman Platinum Editions.
  3. For some reason I have a Weird Al style song stuck in my head... "Yeah, I'm gonna take my comic to Rally Road I'm gonna gouge 'till I can't no more. I'm gonna take my comic to Rally Road. I'm gonna gouge 'till I can't no more. I got the comics in the back. Percentages attached . Profits in the Black. Cars that's black to match. Ridin' on that Spec , ha. You can whip your Porsche . I've been in the conventions. These prices aren't contentious. Can't nobody tell me nothin' You can't tell me nothin' Can't nobody tell me nothin' You can't tell me nothin' Prices aren't a factor. Inflated like a bladder. Balanced all our books now. Check that Jordan Rookie. Life like a movie. Investors are just boobies. We like them really stupid. Looking for another rube. Can't nobody tell me nothin' You can't tell me nothin' Can't nobody tell me nothin' You can't tell me nothin' Yeah, I'm gonna take my comic to Rally Road. I'm gonna gouge 'till I can't no more. I'm gonna take my comic to Rally Road. I'm gonna gouge 'till I can't no more. " But maybe that's just me?
  4. Must have tried to explain that this is not a 2nd print or a newsstand. Ignore just means he is probably aware and is hopeful that someone who doesn't understand will bite.
  5. Wow some amazing multiples posted here! Now for some of mine that are nowhere near as jaw dropping. still think one of the pictures I saw not too long ago really should be posted here, but not mine so instead I will tag the board member and see if he will share the picture here. @kobra65 would you share your 181's?
  6. I appreciate the idea to ask them directly and have posted my question. I will update when I find an answer. I agree definitely uncharted, which is why I was curious about their response. Thank you.
  7. I have a question that hopefully can be answered . If I have a blank comic and have it sketched and mailed in with the Creator Agreement Form ( For CGC SS) and send that book with paperwork to CGC for an in house Signing event would it get the CGC SS label for both? I am looking at having a custom Sketch done of Futurama probably a blank with a Jurassic Bark Sketch to look like a Jurassic Park Comic also Signed and maybe Remarked by Bill Morrison. I am also weighing maybe having a Back to the Futurama mash up done . Thank you.
  8. I appreciate the answer. I do get that normally I can do this, where my concern comes in is that can this be done and sent in for one of these private Signature Series events?

  10. Do not know how to compare to such great stories, bribery, and poetry. But your Star Wars reference does have me thinking about Seagulls ! Stop it Now!
  11. We keep pumping the book like this and Rally Rd might want to sell shares of interest in it!
  12. FIXED IT and Too bad CGC couldn't give you a Pedigree Label with That Notation on it!
  13. Yep. I forsee marriage of a better cover, then disassemble the book clean each page and any too Bad just take from a better copy. Restoration / Conservation on any issue that would prevent anything below 8.0 and Bam! Once bet has been won, crack and sell raw.
  14. I do get it. They have to " keep up with the Jones's " and that changes are inevitable. I like many had just held hopes the changes would be improvements. Which some are and others not so much. I also do know that no one is perfect. We all make mistakes. Still it is how these are handled. New case? Awesome.. Newton Rings.. Definitely Not Awesome! Conserved Label? Awesome.. Some of the accepted points of conserved. Not so much. Character Labels? Sounds Neat! Putting Restored books into Universal Character Label. No good. Instead if fixing what is already in place and refining it to be the Top Tier , Top Notch Grading services they keep introducing NEW more or less cash grabs that add even more issues to their ever growing list. Do not get me wrong I really love some of CGC. The Registry, The Census, Ease of Use. The Cases( minus NR) DEFINITELY THE BOARDS!!!!! This has come to be one of my favorite parts of CGC! The amount of Information and Collective Knowledge is Amazing! A platform to discuss ideas, passions, collectibles, comics , almost everything has been enlightening and entertaining. Also want to thank you for your contributions as I have seens some of your posts that made me chuckle and have enjoyed seeing some of your collectibles you have shared. Thank you.
