  1. While I would tend to agree that may be the case. Wasn't suggesting a stolen image. I was more thinking that this item was mistakenly listed , but had already been previously purchased by Kirk. They have the same double corner crease on the top right and the spine ticks appear to be in the same places. Which doesn't rule out that these copies may have all suffered damage in the same ways during delivery or distribution. Just makes me curious.
  2. Although now has me wondering. After closer inspection of the photos on Mycomicshops listing which states these pictures are of the actual item and comparison of the photo that Kirk has of his copy of the same copy they have the same double crease across top right corner as well as spine ticks in same locations. Think this might be why they removed it. Kirk may already own this copy.. Here are both for comparison. Kirk's has the carpet and Mycomicshops has the blue bar at top.
  3. According to the listing and pictures this was the Washington Park Mall variant that was listed by Mycomicshop on Ebay and in description said it was a consignment item. They had it listed for less than 2 hours and then removed it . It can still be found in sort by completed listings, but shows as unsold. Here is the link. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F133123090226
  4. I would definitely agree with this as there are not only a lot more copies of the death available, but a lot of the Funeral have only one or two graded copies on the census.
  5. Also two more of the Funeral DCU just sold today for their full asking price.
  6. I would agree with Kirk. As a sealed pack you could probably get in that range . Someone would either be missing the sealed pack or think they might find a good DCU(which there are not in this pack) only sale I could find on that specific pack came from April.
  7. I have seen this a lot myself as well. It appears to be an issue they had in manufacturing, but common enough that cgc has not noted this as a manufacturing error. Where some appear gold , others more silver and transparent. Several people have started trying to ask more money claiming one is more rare than the other, and the error copy, yet they both seem relatively common. Still I would agree it is a good cover. Plus one of the issues I have been looking for although I am after the #82 second print 9.8 and considering only one on census i will have to hope some of my raws come back that high..
  8. AUCTION ENDING TONIGHT! IF YOU ARE INTERESTED REPLY OR PM AND WILL DISCOUNT 15% TO ANY BOARD MEMBERS!!!
  9. The name of a mini comic that contains short stories... haha..
  10. Little back story. A lot of my family is short. Not dwarf, or midget short still. I am 6' 3" so next to them they always look shorter. Since some of them collect eveytime I find something that includes short , wee, midget, dwarf, little , tiny, you get the idea.. well I can't help myself as they always make great gifts. Glad I stumbled across this topic.
  11. Although a Mite and Imp here is a twofer...
  12. Yeah.. that is crazy. You would think they would get involved. We had a issue in my area of Florida for a while where a couple of postal employees were literally dumping the mail.. not delivering just driving out a dirt road and ditching it..Originally this was not known. It was just missing mail, but it became more and more frequent Although brought to the local police the too really didn't get involved. However when the local news got wind of the story they broadcast about the missing mail and showed several senior citizens who hadn't received their mail prescriptions and the post master was contacted. A week or so later someone driving on this dirt road reported seeing what appeared to be stacks of mail tossed into the wood and ditches. When the police finally got involved and went out they found entire bundles still rubber banded together from two different routes. However since there are still a bunch of reports that a lot of mail still goes missing. Luckily I know all of my local post office workers and have not been included in any of this , but still if i had seen someone selling unopened packages i would definitely report it to both police and the post office.
  13. You are correct in that when it shows as delivered that a USPS claim will be denied at the same time there are seller protections that due to it showing delivered should mitigate his claim. Notice I said should. There are times where a buyer has successfully had claims in their favor as not received. There have also been times where buyers have filed charge backs through their credit cards successfully. Unfortunately this is one of those tough situations where there may be no win. One thing you can try to do is contact the post office and see what if any information they have. Sometimes buyers have set their delivery options where the delivery can be left in mailbox, doorstep, etc. Which leave the ability to be stolen. If this is the case , This is the buyers fault, doesn't really help , but may give more information for disputing their claim. You may be able to ascertain if the package was left or if they happen to still have it at the local post office. Outside of that a lot of board members, especially when shipping higher value items, use signature required as that at least shows who signed for the package. Another option is Registered Mail. All of that aside you can dispute their claim and show tracking that shows as delivered. They may try to charge back, or leave negative feedback. If so contact Ebay and explain what happend and see what they suggest as well as request the feedback be removed (if you win case) All of this is the reason a lot of sellers have started moving away from Ebay. Hope this helps and good luck.
  14. Well anyone who might be interested . Have I got a book for you.. one of a kind, only slight issue with the back..
  15. I stand corrected. I know the cover was originally intended for detective comics , but thought there was still a story on the interior containing superman. Which is wrong. My apology for sharing my misunderstanding of ashcans. Thank you Lazyboy for the education!
