  1. Location likely is key, and regardless of his success I've always had that "craigslist" feeling about it which is why I haven't pursued it at all. Just thought I'd pass the info along for those who dare.
  2. Tears, stains, stress lines, color breaks: these aren't going anywhere with C&P and are likely the main culprits for your grades. I'd speculate C&P would bump .5 if at all. Also tears could get much worse in the wrong pressers hands... Hopefully J.Post chimes in for a solid experienced perspective.
  3. Agreed. And yes (it's safe) to use modern if you aren't in a hurry, it won't get bumped up.
  4. I have not used it, or even looked into it myself, but I hear regularly from a buddy in Los Angeles that states OfferUp is pretty solid.
  5. And IF they honor the request and give a blue label instead of green it will still say "NAME WRITTEN ON COVER IN MARKER" (Or pen, pencil, whatever) Sometimes it will say "STAN LEE WRITTEN ON COVER IN MARKER" but still no authentication.
  6. Al Milgrom remarque w/press hit G/QC today. Clay Mann remarque w/press hit SFG today. Tony Daniel remarque w/press hit GEI today. Milgrom shipped today. Grade is lower than expected. 9.2 ☹ Book was 9.6 IMO before CCS did it's thing. ...so it goes.
  7. I believe Lee was before Milgrom, but Milgrom was definitely before Mann/Daniel and I THINK Mann and Daniel were at the same time.
  8. Al Milgrom remarque w/press hit G/QC today. Clay Mann remarque w/press hit SFG today. Tony Daniel remarque w/press hit GEI today.
  9. Forgive me, I've never been to any of the brick and mortar (or giant warehouse) Mile High stores... Are their in store prices as effing ridiculous as their online prices?
  10. From my experience it's incredibly common for the inner well to move around or jiggle a little bit. Tiny knocking noise if you turn them from side to side, or shake them a bit if you're into that.
  11. I've never understood it, and I don't like it. I suspect it's either for some sketchy (not a pic of the actual book being sold) reason or possibly some overly paranoid "privacy" reason.
  12. Usually start seeing activity on the day CGC has listed as the ship date.
  13. This happens to me often. Shows shipped for a future date, tracking shows label created with no other activity.
