I'll admit I'm waiting and trying not to turn green, my Jim Lee remarque was pressed or "is being pressed", and it isn't even done at ccs yet

Waiting for it to get to the cgc part, may be a while according to other signings idk

I just can't wait to see it. Jim Lee is without question my personal favorite comic book artist and the remarques they featured were stellar. Registered mail is likely to be a week or more to even get to my post office based on past experience, then they'll show out for delivery but pull "animal interference" and delay it longer or make me pick it up EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE NO ANIMALS ANYWHERE REMOTELY NEAR MY HOME. Effing USPS drives me insane.

What was I saying? Oh yeah, looking forward to seeing it.

Skottie Young remarque w/press moved to G/QC today, as did a Jim Lee remarque no press.

Silvestri remarque no press remains at G/E/I

Skottie Young remarque (signed 09/23, grade date 10/22) shipped today 12/03. Book was without question 9.8 when it left, coming back 9.4 after press. Booooooo

Jim Lee remarque (signed 11/01, grade date 11/17) shipped today 12/03. Book was on the fence between 9.6-9.8 when it left, coming back 9.8 and wasn't pressed.  Yaaaaaay

  3. Again, because I believe it's important:

The clock starts when your package is delivered, BUT (and I think this is what most people fail to understand) the TAT from when your package was delivered is whatever the current posted TAT is. Not whatever the posted TAT was on the day your package was delivered.

Making up numbers but for example: Your package was delivered 10/01 and on that day TAT was 45 days. Now TAT is 123 days. This is now your TAT, 123 days from 10/01. If it changes to 80 days tomorrow YOU'RE AT 80 DAYS FROM 10/01. If it changes again to 200 days in a week, YOU'RE AT 200 DAYS FROM 10/01.  Forget about whatever the TAT was when your package was delivered. Today's posted TAT is your TAT from date of delivery.

For what seemed like 2 - 3 weeks at least. One of my in house signature series just moved from GEI to Grading/QC. Now let's see how long this takes.

Which artist? I've got Lee, Young, Silvestri, Sienkiewicz all with no moment. 😥

Update: Young & Lee both went to G/QC today. Silvestri is still G/E/I, Sienkiewicz is still "Recieved at CCS"

I am about to send 5 of my comics to get graded, but I see that CGC offers a pressing option. Mine Comics are from 2012 never been out of the bag and board they look really good to me.  But I would really like a grade of 9.6-9.8, my question is,  if I do pressing will it get me a 9.8 or do I even need it and should I just send it for grading only.

"if I do pressing will it get me a 9.8"

Maybe, depends on the current state of the books.

"should I just send it for grading only."

If you see the art being put out now as bad, I really don't know what to tell you. It's all subjective, but I love how many of the stories are being told as well as the stories themselves. I'm just really getting tired of people like yourself telling us that we need to do more reading to come around to your thinking. I've read plenty. I have my opinion, and it's just as valid as yours. You are not the arbiter of excellence in art and storytelling.

    Wah, Waaaaaaaah!

Just to level set your expectations, they have been locating and rushing my June order since August.

And all the while we get to read countless stories of "2000 book Slow boat sub delivered 10/01, shipped 10/04, all 9.8".........  :pullhair:

The only thing that I've heard rumored is, that the magazines being a different "size", cgc has to "adjust" the slabbing slabber, so that they only do them maybe once or twice per month.

This would make logical sense IF they only had one "slabbing slabber"... seems incredibly unlikely.  My bet: magazine sub volume is significantly lower than comic sub volume, so they "prioritize" the money makers.

Magazines = "Eh, we'll get to em sometime"  😣
