  1. I'm happy with this mid-grade copy bought here on the boards.
  2. I would gladly take this one off your hands when you do upgrade.
  3. Personally, as much as I would love to have an AF 15, it would have to be a very presentable 1.0 for me to “love” it. I would have no trouble loving a 5.0 or even a 4.0 ASM 1.
  4. Beautiful book. There’s nothing lowly about an ASM 5 in any grade.
  5. The Infantino covers on Detective and Batman were pure magic. Love ‘em!
  6. I’m happy with mid-grade copies and I’ve upgraded my 3, 5, 11 and 14 to that level in the past month. I also upgraded my 7 but I’m still not completely happy with it. My biggest need is a new 13. My current copy is solid but lower grade and the cover is seriously faded.
  7. In terms of significance, the first Superman Annual in 1960 has to receive strong consideration simply because a 25 cent giant issue was a new concept. As cool and enjoyable as they were, however, there was no original content in the DC annuals or 80 Pg. Giants. The early Marvel annuals had some terrific original stories which make them more important overall.
  8. It’s perfectly flat. Zero spine roll.
  9. Hey, a 7.5 #21 is nothing to sneeze at! Beautiful book. Mine is really nice except for a subscription crease and the original owner cut out the order form for the MMMS. It doesn’t affect the story so I’m still happy with it.
  10. Got my 14 upgrade in yesterday’s mail. Great condition with the only major flaw being the tape rub at the top. Now that I have solid copies of both I no longer care whether 3 or 14 is a bigger key.
  11. I believe that you are correct, sir. I didn’t notice the bleed through until you mentioned it but I never looked for it because there’s a spine split about halfway to the staple. My suspicions have always been focused on the ridiculously sharp edges. Whatever the case, it doesn’t bother me. I picked it up in a short box collection I bought about a year ago that included mostly key issues. This one was the biggest and I was thrilled to get it since the beater copy I had as a kid went missing with most of my childhood collection about 45 years ago.
  12. DUH! Force of habit...or maybe old age.
  13. I love this iconic cover! Spidey at his finest. Possibly the best condition Ditko-era book in my collection.
