  1. I’m also at 4.5. It looks very similar to my raw copy.
  2. I’m thinking 3.0. A cleaning wouldn’t be a bad idea just to pretty it up a bit.
  3. Grades are in only because I finish what I start, no matter how much it hurts.
  4. A brutal 9 points on this round. The sad part is that it’s still way better than my first round.
  5. I have never missed a book by a book by remotely as much as I missed Sentai #2 by. I assumed those white spine lines were creases and gave it a 6.0. I originally had it as a 7.0 but I thought, no, this is a newish book that would be graded harshly. Wrong…
  6. Nice copy of my favourite comic book. I’d say 7.0 because of the dust shadow.
  7. More snow this morning, thankfully melted, so here’s my 14 on the 14th.
  8. The Spidey thread has been way too quiet lately. Here’s #13 on a snowy 13th in Winterpeg.
  9. I used to have a remaindered ASM 18 in similar condition that I bought and sold dirt cheap.
  10. I am also fortunate to have a copy in near mint condition. The gorgeous Infantino-Anderson dust cover is more than worth the price of the book.
  11. These are the issues in which Mort Weisinger took over as editor and began introducing more components to the Superman “family”. The Earth-1 Fortress of Solitude was introduced in Action 241 followed in short order by Supergirl, the bottled city of Kandor, Brainiac, etc. The purpose of the Superman “The Man of Tomorrow” series of hardcover Archives books was to showcase the earliest Silver Age issues and the first volume begins with these issues, as did the black and white Showcase Presents Superman softcover book.
  12. I have an almost complete run from issues 125 to 201. I should contribute more pics to this thread.
  13. This issue and Action 241 are considered by DC to be the beginning of Superman’s Silver Age.
  14. A new addition to the “What was on the stands in the month I was born?” collection.
  15. This is one of the few that I’m missing in my run of issues 125-200.
