  1. Congrats! I also had it at 8.0-8.5. That’s like a lottery win for you.
  2. In 1967’s Marvel Tales #11 this was the first Ditko era story I ever read. This was also my introduction to DD’s yellow costume.
  3. Congrats @Get Marwood & I on the two playoff 🎯 and a tremendous victory. Congrats also to @Warlord and @jbpez.
  4. Great news but I have the Archives and most of the original Superman issues so I probably won’t be buying it.
  5. I have never sent a book in for grading but this would certainly be among the first to make the trip from Canada to Florida.
  6. That damn Avengers book. I also had it as a 7.0 after a last second downgrade from 7.5. I wonder how many participants even had it as high as 8.0.
  7. I got so lucky when I found this book at a local shop during a half price sale around 15 years ago.
  8. Here are my 39 and 40. These two books made quite an impression on eight year old me when I bought second hand copies in 1967, shortly after discovering Marvel. I had been reading DC for a couple of years and they sure never did stories like this.
  9. I had a 🎯 on the Action. I did strongly consider giving it a 3.5, though.
  10. The latest add to my small Avengers collection.
  11. The most recent addition to my annuals collection.
  12. WOW 4.5 +1 Action 4.0 🎯 Avengers 7.0 +3 (that dust shadow!) X-Men 8.5 +1 Star Wars 9.4 🎯 So 5 points for me this round for a total of 16. Two books, the Jungle in Round 2 and the Avengers in this round, cost me 6 big points. I wound up with a total of 11 bullseyes with 5 coming in that magical first round so, all in all, I’m pretty damn happy even though I don’t think I’ll make it into the money.
  13. Picked up this high grade beauty a few weeks ago. The summer of ‘67 is when I discovered the wonder of Marvel comics.
  14. 🎶You can’t have one without the other.🎶
  15. Grades submitted. Thanks Mike for running another fun, but stressful, contest.
