  1. Definitely the JC Penney second print. I have one, too. Still a beautiful book but it’s a quarter century newer than an original.
  2. I was: 7.5 5.0 4.0 3.0 9.6 A big 8 points for the second consecutive round. Round 1 seems like a lifetime ago.
  3. The grades are in…finally. I was scared to pull the trigger on this group of books. Edit: Oh, no! I got the dreaded fingers crossed emoji.
  4. Thanks all. I was guessing 3.5 but it doesn’t really matter. It looks too good in a Mylar for me to consider upgrading. And, no, I won’t be getting it pressed.
  5. In order I had them at: 5.0 bullseye 8.0 5.5 shocked that it was 4.0 6.0 9.8 I didn’t see any flaws 8 big points
  6. Nice book with one major flaw. The spine tear goes down to the top staple which is barely hanging on. Looking forward to your opinions.
  7. Grades are in. I went with my initial gut feelings when the books were first posted by Mike. Last round I changed all five and four of them worked to my benefit, including two bullseyes. The fifth one cost me another bullseye.
  8. Flash 105 and the accompanying Superman 127 came out in my birth month of December 1958. The other biggie that came out that month was Batman 121. I have those three issues and also that month’s Action 249 and Detective 264 in my PC.
  9. You absolutely did the right thing. That’s a beautiful looking 5.5. Looks undergraded to me.
  10. That’s a weird book. There’s the difference mentioned above, the one shot Kirby cover (which most people love but I don’t), and the interruption of the Jester storyline. It seems like a filler issue.
  11. I love that date stamp! I was exactly one week old on December 22, 1958. I also have a 4.0 copy but, for some reason, mine has a date stamp from 1961.
  12. I agree with you. I think that’s a great cover.
  13. It certainly is a beautiful production. Congrats on getting it. Is your copy numbered?
