Bought this from the amazing @Rich_Henn from his tax man sales thread. This hurts to get rid of but the money will help with the blindside hit. Selling at exact same price because I'm not flipping in the interest of profit SOLD

Greetings boardies: So recently I got an email stating that under new federal guidelines, financial aid will not pay for all my classes this year. Obviously in the middle of a pandemic this just seemed to hit worse so unfortunately I have to sell off some of my collection pieces. So without further ado... Rules: US shipping only, $15 for priority mail box No list people Returns not accepted because it is a graded book First I'll take it wins Payment via paypal

Silver age comics that are heating up
Comics181 replied to rabidwolf's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
I feel that's a mass generalization. I'm in the under 30 crowd and my grail is a 1942 book. I like modern stories like Civil War and all that, but personally collecting I never go past bronze age. My favorite time period is Golden because of the rich history. So while the majority may be how you see it, not all are -
Show me your Timely's and I'll show you mine. Have a Cigar...

That is beyond beautiful. Great book! -
Who is the X-Men's 2nd greatest villain?
Comics181 replied to exitmusicblue's topic in Comics General
I think the sentinels. Remember days of future past? Crazy stuff -
I believe scarecrow. Nothing like making the bat scared

Probably my golden age grail. No first appearances, instead the first anti-Japanese cover for Sub-Mariner Comics. Also published, I think, 4 months after Pearl Harbor. So happy to have won this from Clink -

I love the insane weapons the axis always had in these . But none of them could hold a candle to the torch. Great book -
I have a couple purple labels with color touch. Obviously I dont want it super obvious but a little isn't bad. A good book for less because a lot of people avoid purple. So all great for me

Are superhero Funko Pops the Beanie Babies of our generation?
Comics181 replied to kav's topic in Comics General
I own a few funko pops but that's because they played some part in me growing up (stan lee exclusive, monkey from CoD, ian malcolm, Dracula, Eleven/Mike, and a timely human torch). I never saw them as a investment, I just liked them. I have watched people hoard them though expecting to make money and I just don't see that ever happening. -

Whenever I bought my young men 24 from @Half-Gringo there was a nice sticky note thanking me for my purchase and a cool vampirella trading card. It was honestly a nice surprise -
Tmnt 1st print 9.4 restoration
Comics181 replied to ghn999's topic in Comic Book Grading and Restoration Issues
I would keep it in the purple. I imagine a 9.4 even in purple will hold a lot of value. Alas, I don't mind color touch purple books. Gives it some extra character -
I'd go run. AF15 is great and all but the run has awesome covers, villains, and stories
