  1. Here's 2 books I got about 5 days ago. I got another one yesterday, but my wife has the camera, so I'll post it in a couple of days.
  2. For a LCS, with the associated overheads that eBay sellers don't have to deal with, that is an excellent and fair price. Kudos to your LCS! I might pick it up. As I mentioned, I only collect GA, but, according to my last years guide, it's a good deal. I'll call about the page quality, and give it some thought. Mike
  3. Or offer a trade for an ounce of the kind... that's some expensive err stuff you're talking about there, not that i would know or anything
  4. He wanted $420 for the book, and I thought that might be a good deal, but I guess not. I would have picked it up for any interested board member that might have wanted it. Mike
  5. I was at a LCS yesterday, Looking at an Action Comics #77 in the display case, and I couldn't help but notic a GSXM #1 CGC 8.0 Universal Grade. I am a GA collector only, but the book looked nice, and I was hoping to get some opinions as to the "Going Rate for this issue.
  6. Thanks Dino I'll get the MO out tomorrow for the #108
  7. Thanks! My goal is #1 through #101 + #108 (which is on order) #158 #242 and #252 Right now, I am concentrating on issues above #65 My job has been going good, so I thought I would take advantage.
  8. Not a good sign. BTW - cute dog. She doesn't know about the 4 more I have on order either. I need to buy a CGC box from comicsupply and stash them away. She will appreciate these books, if the time to sell ever comes, which won't be for a long time.
  9. Agreed! But are they safe from your dog? I didn't even notice the dog. I was limited on time. I gave my wife some money, and sent her to the store. She doesn't know about 4 of the books yet.
  10. I took my raw comics out of their mylar today, to fill in the Month and Year on my CGC submission form, and I thought, I would update my group shot, since it has doubled to 10 books.
  11. I posted this in the Action Comics thread, but I like to contribute to this thread also.
  12. One week ban from the GA forum for mentioning bronze age Hulk comics. Seriously, it's an interesting comment you bring up. I agree that a better image of Luthor on Action 47 would probably make that book a little more valuable. I personally think that Action 23 is undervalued as it stands now even without Luthor on the cover. Also a tough book in high grade. The fact Luthor appeared many times in the interior between issues 24-46 may dilute the importance of his first cover appearance in 47. Oh, and both books are great, but I'll take the Rockford Action 23 over the 47. That's a fact, that the cover on the #47 is really not that attractive, compared to the Prestine #23 cover.
  13. Here's two books from the comiclink auction. Both are Rockford Pedigrees. #23 is the 1st app. of Luthor and the other is the 1st Luthor cover in comics. I'll take the #23
  14. I'll take the Tec #45 even though, it guides for less.
  15. I'll take the Tec #37 over the special edition Captain Marvel.
