  1. Startling Comics #47 I like Schomburg covers. I nominated a Startling Comics in the GA Non-Superhero favorite cover contest.
  2. hello all... thanks...while I personally love restored books that have great page quality and look great, my customer is not a fan of restoration, and he only wants unrestored, 5.5 or better (with 1 and 2 being the exceptions)...we had a beautiful # 7, but it came back from cgc with color touch, so our 1-30 run I thought I had completed, now has a hole in.... Brian, when you are ready, lmk ! rick What does that mean Rick? Are you buying for him? Or do you jointly own the books?
  3. The restored geppi action 1 is a 50k restored book. Seems to me, that it's worth a lot more than 50K
  4. Geppi's copy of Action Comics #1 (Which is believed to be restored). OR MarvelComics #1 9.0 Unrestored.
  5. Even though I dislike Restored books, I'll take the Captain America. Wonder Woman for the second set. Marvel Comics #1 for the third set.
  6. As Tommy Lee said to Pamela Anderson, "Nice rack". STEVE (make mine Larson)
  7. That's an amazing collection of Detective Comics, and the Batman #1 I'm glad to see this thread active again. I may make a contribution next week, before submitting an order to CGC.
  8. In my four years of collecting, I'll agree with that opinion. There certainly are some hard to find Actions between 39-50, but Action 13 is probably tougher than those. It's funny, there are three Action #10s available now or will be very soon (Ebay Store, Comiclink, Heritage) but no #13 to be found. My opinion is that #8 is the toughest non-Superman cover. I spent about an hour searching the computer for an Action Comics #13 for you and no luck. Sorry, but I did try, and if I find one, I'll let you know.
  9. up to 5.0 now is it.. 4.5 no longer good enough ? 4.5 is good enough for Action #44. Know anyone who's got one for sale? I can't believe, I missed out on the Action #105 X-mas cover about an 8.0 I think it was the second link in this thread.
  10. That's a nice batch of books! Of course, my favorite is the Action.
  11. Thanks everyone! I have bought several books from the same guy. His VG to VG+ books have been coming back from CGC up to 7.0 He's a very conservative grader. I will post a link to his website, in case anyone is interested. http://www.jamespayettecomics.com/
  12. Nice Book! I got a package yesterday. The #71 has SN on the cover, just like another book of mine that you pointed out to me, that was a Cooksville copy.
  13. This just arrived this week. It was my first purchase from the CGC boards!
  14. Thanks for the info. I'll try to tap it back in place.
  15. I thought I would make an updated contribution to this thread. The top 3 are just back from CGC. How come there's White paper product, hanging out of the bottom of the inside cover?
  16. Let me know, when you want to sell it.
  17. That's an interesting way of collecting. Is this the only comic you collect? BTW welcome to the boards!
