  1. I may be the only one, but I'm going to choose the Batman #23 because the cover is very appealing to me, and it's high grade.
  2. That's what I was thinking, but didn't dare to say.
  3. If the Marvel did not have glue on the spine, I would choose that book. The shade of blue doesn't bother me, because it commonly varies in this issue. Because of the glue, I'll take the Batman #1.
  4. Um, I thought for sure it would be a FC #178 I think I have used a #282 for packaging material. I am not fond at all of restored books, but, I'll take the Tec. #38
  5. It's definitely tilting towards the 108.. In a small pic the Action 108 looks cooler. When comparing the actual comics side by side I think the 82 is better. I would like to comment on these two books once more. Looking at them in person side by side, the vibrant colors in the #108 seem to blow the #82 out of the water. Tomorrow, They will both be packaged along with others for my trip to Florida. I shall take that last opportunity to flip through them and admire the covers one last time in the raw. Mike
  6. I'm going to go with the #108 I guess It would not be a good choice $ wise I'm thankful I own them both so I don't have to decide.
  7. These books are not as expensive as most posted here, but they are two of my favorites. The #82 has a higher BV than the #108 Which one would you choose?
  8. Very Nice! I just got this one today. The front cover has great eye appeal. The lower grade is reflected by some kind of stain on the back cover near the spine. It's strange, because it just affects the white part, and not the red. Could it be an ink stain from printing? I may have to call for grader notes.
  9. Very nice, cd! I used to own a copy of that book because I thought it was a rather classy cover. You're the first person I've mention the words "vacation" and "at my mother-in-law's" in the same sentence. That's not the half of it. We spend Christmas at the MIL's house, and I find out she's driving up to disney and spend all three nights with us in the condo. Mike At least I'm limiting the in law time and we're going to be having family time for at least 2 of the 3 weeks. I envy you! After all of this, I feel I should get something very special from the you know who!

  11. Thanks Bill! The #82 is resting right on top of that #86
  12. Here's my Christmas present from my wife. I opened it early, so I could package it with some other raw comics that I plan to drop off at CGC while I'm in Florida for Christmas. It's been 3 years since I have had a vacation. I will spend christmas at my mother-in-laws, then 1 night in Sarasota, and followed by 3 nights at disney.
  13. Nice book! I used to have 3 or 4 John Carter books. I was always fascinated with those covers. They really stand out. Mike
  14. I just recieved this today. This is an upgrade, to my other issue.
  15. This just arrived today. It was purchased from ciorac, and I am pleased.
  16. hello all... yes, they are...he is a good friend, best customer (our arrangements, due to his intial limited funds, are that I purchase, and he gets at my cost +5% "commission" for the effort and the financing...so basically, he is getting at my real world cost)...however, payments have been a little slow, so worse case scenario is that I "inherit" the collection (which I would be pleased to do, now that I have asssembled, but I already completed a batman run in the 90's, so I don't have a great desire to keep...part of the joy for me, is the collecting, but I like new challenges, which is why I won't go after Action, but would superman)...personally, I am working on the Tec's 27-53, and about 20 other issues I like (have not started them yet, except for 2 I am getting from board member cgcmint)... so, if for some reason Bob has to bail (which, for the record, I don't anticipate), I will either keep the run, or sell it (a tough decision no doubt) rick I Thought that was the case, but I got the impression, that some board members were not aware of this. I just wanted to make sure I hadn't lost my mind. BTW what a great run. Mike
  17. Rick Is the batman collection you have recently posted, the one you are putting together for a client? Mike
  18. Heritage has a nice looking CGC 7.5 copy of #93 coming to auction in their January preview. I may have to make my first purchase from Heritage in January. Thanks, and I'll let you know, when I find that #13
  19. I am looking for Action Comics Christmas covers #93 #105 #117 What grade? I know SoCalComics had a nice looking (but lower grade due to a chip out of the bottom of the front cover) copy of #93. Scott I need a bare minimum 4.0 Higher would be better. Thanks for the concern, Mike
