  1. I have never seen so many different kinds of errors.
  2. I don't think CGC offers screening for modern tier. Although, they might have if you submitted them into a different tier.
  3. 14. Threads may be bumped three times total AND only ONE FULL DAY AFTER falling off of the front page. This does not include "sold" notices, or truly useful informational updates. Note: we CAN tell the difference between a real update and a fake bump-update. Tread that line at your own risk. If you're spam bumping, "lawyering" the rules will not save you. ALSO HIDING YOUR POST AFTER BUMPING WILL NOT SAVE YOU. Yep, we can see that stuff.
  4. We are going to work on clarifying the rules regarding announcements and the FS section.
  5. Here's my take. Posting 1 book now and saying will post the rest 8 hours from now is an announcement. There is an announcement thread for that. If someone has only 1 book to sell, that is fine. If someone posts a handful of books and says will post the rest later, that is fine as well. We can tell when someone is using a FS thread as an announcement. It's not fair to the others that have legitimate FS threads, and they keep getting knocked down by people posting in an "announcement thread" As Arch says in the guidelines thread, "Please do not try to be "clever" to find a way to post a single book so you can make an "announcement"
  6. The boards seem to be running a little rough today.
  7. The thread in comics general got out of hand and is locked. If I see this thread headed the same way, it will suffer the same fate with possible warnings.
  8. Where would you suggest? Hakes was suggested by a family member who runs alot of stuff through them I would go with Comiclink or Heritage.
  9. It doesn't really matter but, after communicating with Brian, I do not believe the reason for backing out was money. It's not fair to him to assume that. That's all I have for this thread.
  10. You can check out any time you like but, you can never leave.
  11. SOLD ON JUN 13, 2021 FOR: SIGN-IN OR JOIN (FREE & QUICK) Flash Comics #88 (DC, 1947) CGC GD/VG 3.0 Off-white to white pages....
  12. And then we have another 2 day shutdown I'm going to want it dead center. It will probably take 3 or 4 tries.
  13. did they just move it around? Yep. I hope it gets moved back.
  14. Very sorry to hear about this. I realize that this has no bearing on what has happened here but, I would like to share a story about Brian. When Our house burned to the ground in December 2010, Brian had about 3 posts. I received a HUGE box from him that was filled with new Nike shoes and clothing for the entire family. I would value it at about $1500 I hope this gets resolved to both parties satisfaction.
  15. WalkThrough If you are submitting collectibles under the WalkThrough grading tier, mark each side of your shipping box with WK in large, bold letters. Value Unlimited Cost 3% of Fair Market Value ($150 min.) TAT 12 days
  16. That could be. I saw it yesterday on a pond forum site I am a member of. Never seen it there before either.
  17. I tried a dozen times the other day. Finally, I clicked on the X to get rid of it.
  18. There is no place it says that. 1 person was mentioned twice. A win last year, and a honorable mention in 2006. I think the intent is to pick someone new each year.
  19. A difference of opinion is most likely to blame. anyhow, the topic is pretty much banned across the boards. An occasional, brief mention as it pertains to movies might slide by but, if it turns into a discussion, it will be shut down and warnings issued.
  20. What? Why? Is it assumed to be fictional, or has it now been categorized as political? Seriously. I hadn't read this before now. She locked the thread in the water cooler and posted that. Literally 100's of warnings came from that thread, causing an extremely heavy load on moderation. It also tarnished many relationships between board members.
