  1. I just wish I hadn't traded all of my post 80's Star Wars figures for that bag of sea glass.
  2. I thought so with the 10. It's a first. Again, more or less what I was thinking. Thanks for the link. Very informative. Still don't know...
  3. Picked these up cheap the other week - How do I know what printing they are? The cover price is right, but I can't find anything to indicate 2nd or later printings.
  4. Found a couple of Turkish Groo in a stack of other Groo stuff - Not great copies, but I ain't complainin'.
  5. Big pile of Groo - averaged out at about 40p each.
  6. Wow. Nice book. Very jealous. I'd say that's a 9.4 all day long. The only thing I notice is a tiny color break on the trashcan lid. Still, very, very nice. A book I'm constantly on the lookout for, especially the UK pence variant.
  7. Got this in the post this morning - Digest sized and a bit too big for any of my pockets. Maybe a French poche is just larger as standard. I'll bet that's what's been holding me back all these years...
  8. Ah. Mystery solved. Thanks very much. That makes the Facteur X #6. not that you can tell by my crappy phone camera It must mean that the stories inside aren't cut, or serialized in any way.
  9. That's front, back and center of Facteur X. I can't find any issue number, so it might be a one-off. It says that it reprints X-men 242. I've got another one like it, also with no issue #. Not sure what 'version integrale' means in the context of a TBP or an omnibus edition or something else. It kind of implies a one-off. Of course, deciphering stuff like this would be a lot easier if I spoke any French.
  10. Winkled this out of a little pile of random stuff - I never knew it had an adaptation of 'Who Goes There?' by John W. Campbell inside - Does anyone know if this is the first comic adaptation of this story? The Thing looks...ummm...interesting - This panel is veeerrry Carpenter-esque, I think, even though Starstream predates the Carpenter 'Thing' by 4 years -
  11. That's a nice copy. Mine are nowhere near as sharp as that & I've seen a few that looked like they'd been kept outside for a decade or three.
  12. Another rabbit hole to investigate...
  13. I uploaded one of my Lone Ranger pences to GCD & had a bit of back and forth with two of the editors. They couldn't see it until I gave them an exact location to look in. I expect nothing less from you, Velma. Snap. It can be a tough lesson for sellers, but I can be patient.
  14. Spotted this the other day. Missed the pence. 'Ow much?! Be sad & wait for light to dawn on Marble Head. It'll be on there for a few months & then the goober'll be glad of your cheeky offer.
  15. There were five of the Marvel Collection produced (I could only find 4 in my files ) - These were produced by Marvel UK for sale through B Dalton bookstores in the US. Ironically, not easy to find in the UK. No two are exactly alike. Thorpe & Porter also did some bound remaindered 'Annuals' & others in the late 60's, early 70's. Here's one I had - They're basically just a handful of random, not even exclusively DC books that were lying around the distribution warehouse. Detective 359 & Batman 181 are known inclusions. Kicking myself for selling this one. They're hard to come by in decent shape, though the insides tend to be nice, thanks to the board covers. They also did the 'Double Double' series, which was the same idea, but without the covers intact.
  16. Oh no. Could go either way, really. It'll either be a load of Silver Age gems that some old dear has been hanging onto since Herbert popped his clogs, or it will be...ummm...a pile of Excalibur.
  17. Nice collection! Great books! Have you seen this thread? Plenty of Strange, Titans, etc in there. Plus more.
