    I'm not crazy about the green myself, but I do like the cover. Issue 232 was the first Batman comic that I bought since getting back into the "hobby" a couple of months ago. I really wish I hung onto the copy I had when I was 18. I'm sure it would have graded in the 9.4-9.6 range at the minimum. Anyway, I actually became really interested in issue 227 when it was featured in the Dark Knight documentary from the movie Blu-Ray. Other than it being a cool cover, I never knew of it's significance in the collecting community.

    I fully expected this to be a crappy, reading copy. I was completely floored by how great the condition was. It certainly looks better than some 9.0's in person versus this seller's scan. Not bad for $12 plus free shipping.

    I just got beat out over at Heritage on a 9.6 Detective 395. I went as high as 3100, but started to get internet lag after that. The person who was on the floor bidding against me was much faster. Auction ended at over $3700. Wow.

    That DD was one of my favorite books in HS. I came ever so close to bidding on that one myself. If not for the fact that I have huge chunk of money ear-marked for an item over at Heritage, I would have. By the way, I thought the final price on this book was a bargain. Congrats.
