Another book that I used to have as a kid. This is the seller's scan, but I just got this book today and it actually looks MUCH better than the pic. I'd say it is solid 8.5-9.0. What's really great about it is is that it only cost my $15 plus shipping.

Well, my first purchases of 2012 to usher the new year in. The PQ is a little lower than what I normally buy with the #432, but the price was very reasonable and since it's an old label, I'm hoping it's actually a lot better than it is.

Dammit. I knew I shouldn't have bought those raw Spectres. Now I got to get the whole series. Anyway, my last purchase of 2011. Luckily, there's only 10 books in this series.

Walked into a LCS that I've never been in before and can't believe I walked out with books other than Bats (although the SA Tec 344 doesn't really count. This is a SA Bats that I don't really care for, but the book was in such great condition, I thought it was good deal for $15). There was a bit of a fire sale going on. The Spectre books were $4 each and the guy let me have the Warlords for $17 each. He had them graded at 9.2, but they looked more like 9.0 to me. Still very good looking books IMO. A bit of a concern for me. I started out on this hobby telling myself I would restrict my buying habits to only to BA Adams Bats, but it looks like I'm branching out now. Not sure if that's a good thing.

Some great books. Really envious. Next to BA Bats, Spidey is right up there with me. Would love to one day reacquire all those books from my childhood. This would be about from issues #100 to about #152 or so.

"Low distribution"? I really hate it when a seller tries to oversell an item like that. Still, a very good price and although the wrap is not perfect, its very even. I don't see this one lasting very long. I'm surprised to see this book listed for just $250 in 9.2 with the new overstreet, even for raw.

Well, another 9.4 is available on eBay now. It's the same one that sold for $1100 back in early June according to the serial number. Not as nice as the one sold over at CL last month, but it's still very nice. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Batman-1940-227-CGC-9-4-/310366125646

Beautiful book. If it doesn't grade as a 9.2 or higher, I'd say that you're at least assured of a strong 9.0. What's the PQ like?

Ah, so you're the one who won the BB#93. One of my favorite books. I think it's probably one of Adams's best works. I picked a really cheap 9.0 a couple of months ago, but now that I think about it, I should have held off and waited for a better copy.

GPA doesn't record CL sales either, right?
