  1. If they ever start taking DBZ/GT Score, I'm not sure there's a card in existence that would grade a CGC 9.
  2. @PaulS. Is there anything that you could share with the board? I am interested in hearing an answer to the question he asked. That last card he showed clearly had worse centering left to right on the front than his card did on either front or back, yet it received a 9 and his an 8.5.
  3. Received: 11/11/21 Service: WALKTHRU Shipped: 11/16/21 X-Men #1. Please FedEx don't botch this shipment.
  4. @PaulS. Weren't the new labels supposed to fix the centering issue in the grade box? EpicPulls has a scan of a card that shipped from CGC on 11/3 and it has the centering issue.
  5. Thank you @Habby2324. Could you give me the best email address to use to do that? Thanks for your help.
  6. Along with a Japanese Blaine's Charizard, a Japanese Dark Charizard from Rocket Gang can be had for a lower price also. Also a Japanese Neo 2 reverse holo. These are all safe options IMO that won't lose value over time and can be found for relatively low prices right now.
  7. This was supposed to be fixed with the new labels. EpicPulls, when did you receive this card back from CGC?
  8. @Habby2324 or @PaulS. Does the Reholder option always include a brand new label being put in the holder? I ask because I'm OCD and would like all my older cards that still have the solid blue CGC label to be given the newer label that fades to white and is on glossier paper. Can I submit my older slabs under the Reholder option to get the new label without having to worry about the grades changing?
  9. Ah, thank you! I didn't see this in the announcement so it's good to know.
  10. Strangely enough I don't see a thread on this anywhere. It's a great cause and I would like there to be a thread on this. I just submitted 9 books and selected this label for all of them. When they're returned to me, I'll post pictures so we can see how these labels look with different books. I would like to see other people's pictures as well if any of you have open submissions with this label. @mnelsonCGC Do you know how long these labels will be available? Are they for a limited time only (like maybe a few months?) or will these be a permanent option?
  11. Okay noted, thank you for saying so. I agree, I think the green label actually looks really good and that the color contrast between it and this particular card is striking. I am definitely more upset about the damage that occurred to the top edge that caused this to cross over to an 8 than the qualified label. Something else for everyone to note - it looks like CGC has not yet updated their Qualified Grade labels to correct the centering issue in the grade box, as my "8" is def off center. The label is also more of a solid green color, the way the Universal Grade label used to be more of a solid blue, before CGC put in the upgrade to correct the centering. Interesting.
  12. Thank you for this detailed post. To make matters worse, I got the card back in the mail today, and it received a qualified grade. "Inked." I am attaching scans. Maybe you all can see where it's inked. I can't... but maybe I'm blind. Then again, whatever it is, PSA didn't catch it. @PaulS. I'm sorry to say this Paul, but the edge dings you see across the top back and top back left corner of the card in the scan above did not exist when it was in its PSA slab. This card was pretty obviously mishandled when the grader at CGC cracked the PSA case. I realize it was the risk I took when I submitted for crossover, but I did not expect my experience to be like this. I hope other people see this thread and learn from my experience so they don't make the same mistake I did. Well thank you. Haha. But I was an insufficiently_thoughtful_person for doing it.
  13. Hey all. I submitted my first card to CGC that was in a PSA slab. It was a Base Expansion Pack 1st edition holo Charizard, PSA 9. It came back a CGC 8. Needless to say, I took a bath on it. I am genuinely curious to hear about other people's experiences with crossover grading, whether they were in former PSA or BGS slabs. What grade did you get from CGC? Also, a question for @PaulS.. Is it easy to damage cards when cracking PSA or BGS slabs during crossover grading? Just wondering if extracting the card from the slab may have accounted for it receiving a grade 1 full point lower than what PSA had assigned. Thanks!
  14. I did not pay for shipping. Okay, thanks Paul. I actually didn't mind the grades being off center in the grade box and I wouldn't have sent that back for correction, but the labels not laying flat in the holder looked bad enough for me to send back.
  15. @PaulS. I submitted my slabs with wavy labels under Mechanical Error. The status currently showing is "scheduled for grading." Are these cards actually going to be re-graded? I just wanted the wavy labels taken out and new labels put in. That's what I thought would happen since this is a quality issue. If these cards are actually going through a re-grading process, could different grades be assigned?
  16. @PaulS. In addition to the labels being wavy I noticed they are now much whiter, whereas before they were a light blue color. Do you know if this change in the label color is permanent?
  17. I also had this problem. I just received my order of 6 cards... 4 had wavy labels. They look terrible. Is there anything to be done about it? I am guessing CGC does not have a program in place to correct this?
  18. @PaulS. I don't see where this is an option. When I go to the submission form for ReHolder, the only additional service I see is high res imaging. There's nothing to select for sub grades.
