  1. Wow, the below is the kind of thing I would've drawn over and over in third grade if I'd had this for inspiration.
  2. Do you guys have an opinon on the other pre-pack Ducks? I seem to get a lot of people buying the Daisy and Donald. Not as much luck selling WDCS. Btw FT88, those are tremendous books you posted.
  3. Wow, what a transformation of the company in the following years!
  4. BZ, I love those photos of the rec room you just posted. I thought of something specific to request. After visiting a guy last month who had a VG- 1964 Gold Key Lone Ranger #1 priced at $1100 I'd love to see some of the 1939 or 1940 Lone Rangers. (Which is what he thought he had.) Given Dan Greenhalgh's comments this weekend on relative scarcity among Marvel Mystery 1-10 I'd love to have you post a #9 also. Marc
  5. I completely agree about the Andy Griffiths. It took me over a year to find the 1341 and still haven't found the 1252. If anyone has an extra, let me know. Btw, I have a nice HG married #600 on the site. Marc
  6. Wow, I've never noticed how flipping cool that Bat-head is! Probably because I've probably mostly seen this cover in thumbnails and Gerber and such. Looks superb.
  7. I just got a huge box of Batmans. Pleased. Lots of guys really know how to pack boxes but you can't beat the way Hush packed these. Marc
  8. I can vouch for him, for sure. Plus he has terrible mail service. Stuff I've sent him has taken like three weeks. Probably works the same way in reverse.
  9. People possibly forget that this was a hot book when it came out with prices jumping to around $5. But Marvel #1s of that time period were so over-ordered it's not surprising that you can get them for nothing now. Semper Fi sells surprisingly well for me and small press stuff like Vietnam Journal and Desert Storm Journal always sell. Marc
  10. Also want to thank SD2146 and Jeffro for my recent buys and Drummy, Sckao, and Jeffro for recent purchases. Finally, thanks to FFB, Jeffreykli, and Greggy for their "prescreen" on a few books at Wondercon a couple minutes before the onsite submitting deadline. They totally nailed the grades. Marc
  11. Gotta give special thanks to Andrew at GACollectibles for the Rio Bravo. He picked it up at the recent NE show because he remembered my multiple WTB threads over the past year. He's been the best guy for turning up specific 50s and 60s books that I need.
  12. Walt Kelly is definitely the man for stuff like this. I really like the one below. Another Easter one I would suggest is Popular Comics #4, if you have it.
  13. Yeah, these are great. The cover repeats remind me of Kanigher's dictum that the audience was different every seven (?) or so years so he had no problem repeating plots and such in the DC war books.
  14. I'll second that--my first box arrived yesterday and I'm pleased.
  15. Fantastic! Just pretend you're a kid again and the tape won't bother you at all--just revel in the wonder of owning those great books.
  16. Don't get us started on Sgt. Rock! Or Easy Company. Or Sgt. Rocky.
  17. This stuff is the comic equivalent of discovering the Seven Cities of Cibola AND the Philospher's Stone!
