Depends on the USA part of the process. Usually have them back in a couple of months. I often use their pressing service though, which takes some time.

Use them all the time - 100's of comics submitted. I drop the comics off at the London office and pick them up when they are done. The team there are fantastic and when there are glitches they've been resolved quickly and efficiently. Highly recommended.

Congrats my friend!!! I'm happy for ya!!! Hopefully this will lure some more hg copies out into the open and submit for CGC grading! Truly rare key issue for sure!
Thanks!! I was pleased with it. Looks better in real life than in the pics. I think more will surface, but tough to get with the tattoos, for sure.

Not bad for a book I paid $900 for in 2017!
Many congrats!! Great price!!

Will let you know how grading on mine goes. It's with CCS now. Never easy to predict these UK comics. I got a Captain Britain back as a 9.8. I was very surprised. But paper quality is so different to the standard.
Good luck and I hope you get a great price!

Thanks buddy!
That's way less than the one on HA 2 months that sold for $11,400 with the buyer's premium. Probably not as visible as the HA since that CGC 6.5 one was in the last Signature Auction.
Saw that. Less than 50% of the HA price. Good luck with the 9.0 sale. That is a very, very rare comic at that grade.

Yes it is and doing quite well for now! Hopefully, it'll set a new precedent for 2000 AD #2's!
Good luck!!!!
A CGC 6.5 went for $4,600 in a ComicLink auction yesterday

Hi I need some advice about how to get my comics graded.
I'm in the UK. I've no experience. I'm quite old so need things explained in step by step simple terms.
I would like to get my 2000AD comics slabbed, if that is the correct term for having them graded by CGC.
I have very early issues from # 1 upwards and some of the have been signed.I saw this and thought Id like to get mine graded too.
How do I do it from the UK?
Step by step please with any useful links or contacts would be helpful, Ideally from someone who has done similar from the UK or Europe in general or a CGC representative. Thanks
Hi
I've found it easiest to actually take the comics down to the London office. You'll need to contact them and arrange an appointment. You will need to complete a UK form prior to submitting the comics and you'll need to do that on the UK website (www.cgccomics.uk). There is a category for magazines and you'll need to estimate the value of the comic/magazine. You can send them in by post, but I prefer to hand them over then I know at least that part of the process has gone smoothly. They check what you are leaving them against the form you've submitted (take a copy with you) and you get a signed receipt. Really simple and nice people to deal with.
I'm actually dropping my Prog 2 off for grading with them this Thursday!
Good luck

What's New In Your Copper Age Collection This Week?

Not even a dollar bin purchase - buried in a "lucky dip long box" that cost 20p a comic - as was Cheval Noir #1.
