Had time today and needed to redeem by birthday popcorn and drink at AMC. This was the $5 Tuesday movie so thought I'd give it a shot. Had no background on the character and wasn't really needed. here were nods to "Blue Beetle" but besides a relative, didn't think that made it a deal breaker if you didn't know much background.
Overall, an ok movie. Good to see a latino demographic reach out. Not too much painting outside the typical storylines but worth a watch.

Well, beauty or slabbing is in the eye of the beholder. I've done it for investment and for sentimental reasons, the first comic I can remember buying off the rack, etc. If you want to send them to CGC, send them to CGC.

Always a bummer to hear about these type of thefts. Some of them have distinctive chipping and/or writing on the cover so hopefully easier to identify. At least to me, surprising they are note CGC graded even though look to be pretty good condition.

My Roy Thomas' just moved to Scheduled for grading.

Well, Kirby would be an obvious choice but I did have the honor of meeting him so I'll lean towards two I never did get the chance to meet.
1. Allen Bellman - found out who he was in 2019 and had great correspondence with him and did a couple of commissions. Wanted to fly to a show he was attending but COVID prevented that
2. Herb Trimpe - Bummed I never had the chance to meet him before he passed

And don't forget Sean Connery

Well, opportunity to catch up on the plethora of movies and TV shows in various queues. Don't see any resolution on the horizon as this is a big one.

Congrats on the achievement. This is a good movie.

+1 for insurance. You can go crazy thinking of all the "what if" scenarios such as floods, fires, etc. There is no absolute protection but insurance can help.

OK, finally finished this. OK, not great. Kept thinking that if this was such an important "Invasion" why not just call any superhero out there. I think they addressed it in passing but can't remember so not memorable.

Got to go with the three on this one. That back takes it down.

I always add pressing for sig series even if previous 9.8. Only one case of going down in the past with all others keeping or increasing making it worthwhile.

Saw this yesterday and fully enjoyed it. Lots of fun and messaging combined while being an enjoyable movie.

For the most part, pressing has kept or increased the grade for every submission except for one. Sent a 9.6 in for Sig Series and always add pressing. Came back a 9.2 with "Light stain on the back cover"
