Hi , I was just wondering what people's general opinion of cva is ? I was considering sending a few of my books of to get cva 'd , and was curious if it was worth it, my potential candidates would be an asm 129 9.8 , and hulk 181 9.8

Thx for the opinions folks, I plan on getting it sent off this month with a few others, what's a realistic turn around time with cgc these days?

It's a nice looking 4.0 but that seems high since the last CGC 3.0 went for half that. I don't think a grade point in this case is worth double the cost. I'm not sure what the seller would accept though as a counter offer.

Having been the owner of a few of these in the past I do like copies where it's clearer with the October date showing. I never owned a October dated copy myself although I directed Marvel in the direction to get one for their Marvel Mystery Omnibus. A October dated copy is my "White Buffalo" in collecting.

 

There are two different editions ? One with the October date and one without

Sadly , the ff isn't mine , I just purchased the hulk 1 and af 15 from Harley Yee a few months back and those pics are the ones he sent me prior to my purchase , after that they went strait to my bank deposit box, here's the only pic I took af the af15 as my gf insisted

Also, values cannot be determined on a per grade basis.  There are so many factors that affect value - marvel chipping, page quality, stains, writing, pieces missing, etc. So many variables that there is no one price per grade for each book.

In that case I excuse myself, as I just signed up, I thought polling the values of certain books was fair game.  I shall not burden you all with my inquiries of specific values of certain books in further posts

One would assume that members posting in threads titled "b&b28 club" "af15" club etc would be the best people to ask in regards to values of said books

Is there a problem that I'm inquiring prices of books in threads that are specific to the titles I'm asking about?

Hey here's a copy of mine , utimately I'd like to upgrade to a 6.0 

I m a big fan of having the cover attached for either tec 1 and marvel 1, and the whole appeal of marvel 1 for me is having in my option the book that launched marvel , the name said it all , ' marvel comics 1' I'm from Canada , and with the abysmal shape our dollar is in , 77 k usd would wind up being +- 105k cdn, so it looks as though I'll be eating franks and beans for the foreseeable future on my quest to obtain one
