The youtube show "Lords of the Longbox" is "reporting" that HBO Max is doing a Green Langern Corp. TV show starring Kyle Rayner.  This "rumor" gets picked up by cosmicbooknews and bounding into comics and all of a sudden its a real "news" story with multiple "reliable" sources reporting on it.  Now people cry about pump and dump and spreading false rumors all the time, but this is RIDICULOUS.  This show has the worst track record for reporting old news, old rumors and mixxing in utter nonsense that no one is reporting about and asserting that they have a tipster.  I can't tell if it is malicious or ignorance, but it BAD.  Some of the ridiculous stories they've recently reported that spring to mind "Dakota North is getting an ABC TV Show, Red Wolf is in development, Kazar and the Savage Land are in development, etc.  They have really hurt their brand.  I used to really this show.  I was always a little suspicious because they do youtube auctions and raffles but that's their decision.  Anyway, I think there information is suspect.  I hope I'm wrong.

LOTLB and CosmicBookNew were always false news & click-bait sites.

I think the series is still flying a little under the radar, though the television PR machine is starting to ramp up now.

Some of Rucka's past work (e.g. Whiteout) hasn't really benefited from moving to other media, and some other TV shows haven't cased much back issue action for older indie books (e.g. Wynona Earp).

Having said that, I'm pretty bullish about Stumptown. It's one of my favourite comics of all time, but it definitely didn't get much notice as it was coming out. If the series is half as good, the very low print runs on this books could send it through the roof. Plus, with the rise in price for back issues of The Boys and Umbrella Academy, there could be a bit of a FOMO effect.

I have a feeling Stumptown will barely resemble the book

    *eBay buyer alert*

Had a fella buy a nice copy of Marvel premier 1 warlock with no grade attached and pictures front, back, inside from all angles.

Was a sharp copy with minimal spine ticks glossy no tears or chipping and never presses because I was owner for long time.

Buyer requested refund and submitted pictures of a 1inch spine split and bad damage to whole bottom 2 inches of book going threw the whole books pages. Literally almost ripped off the bottom staple.

This certainly looks intentional and he made a case saying I used “deceptive angles to hide this damage” I was livid!!

The book is trashed and worthless now and he opened case for me to loose money and keep destroyed book.

I stated no returns but would have anyway if the book was not defaced so badly.

This buyer had selfish intent and it’s only  fair to share this.

I have many pics I can post of condition sent and his pics after destruction.

Walmart actually isn't responsible for these books at all, so technically it's wrong to say they are Walmart variant, but the books are made for MK Holdings and sold by them exclusively through Walmart. They're not going to order 1,000,000 copies and keep filling until they're sold out, they want to make their quick buck and move on to the next month's offering.

    bro, you dont know anything

Who cares if a publisher knew 140,000 issues would be order allowing a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th print for marketing reasons? That's smart business.

We the fans, collectors, and investors bought all those copies...but it was not well received???🤔

    Just wow.

Marvel plans additional printings ahead of time, even before the 1st print gets released. Its why there's so many in the Walmart 3-packs.

couldnt find any of these in the wild and ebay only has like 5 listed all 100+ already for nm+. this but be seriously short printed

Short printed ??  WTF does that even mean. Marvel over prints ratio variants all the time. Not everyone sells books on Ebay. Anything else to stop your FOMO...?
