  1. You guys didn't think I'd let this thread stay down that long, did ya? both are the stock images of the listings, so I'll take personal pics soon. I just ordered up this one, bringing me one step closer to all of the STT run: Then there's this one, that I got to replace a really beaten copy that I got a few months ago. It presents very nicely, so I'm happy!
  2. Yeah, I like the date stamp too! Yes, the book revolves around 3 women, not just the 1. I actually already read the 1 & 3 and I'll read this one once it arrives.
  3. Me too - Thanks! Especially because I bought that entire Deadpool run (& specials) and that Harley run off the racks!
  4. I grabbed a #1 from a boardie, got a #3 from ebay, and just also got this one from the bay!
  5. My lord! I've owned the MOVIES STORIES cover, but that JUNGLE STORIES cover is the !!!
  6. We are so used to seeing St John romance in mid-grades and many never in high grades. So we pay high grade prices for mid-grade books in this niche, and sometimes cant quite figure out how to put a true value on the rare high grade copy. So they can fluctuate wildly. I'm not a Baker collector (not because I don't love 'em, but more because I'd still like to have enough $$$ to eat) but I'll admit that if there's a rare LB Cole cover up for grabs I'll be willing to pay above grade on a mid-grade copy. I'll buy the alanna's observation!
  7. The Everett stories are the highlight of the first half of the AMF run with Wolverton's incredible Space Patrol the highlight of the later half. Thanks! Maybe the next Everett book coming out will have a few of 'em.
  8. The covers are fantastic! Are the insides as cool? Just curious. I finished the SILVER STREAK Archives vol 1 today and most of the stories were good, Daredevil and the Pirate Prince seem to be my favorite so far.
  9. Love those "trailer girl" stories!
  10. Here's one I just scored off of ComicLink. I also wanted the #59 but got outbid at the last minute!
  11. Just has fun flipping through this thread. Lots of fun stuff! I'll have to dig through my archives to see what I've got. Lord knows I've got nearly the entire CHAOS universe with some pretty rare variants, one I grabbed directly at CHAOS! when I visited in the 90's. Nice to see someone dug up Creed! I loved that stuff, and even own a Creed / Cyberfrog page by Trent Kanuga - even got both him and Ethan to sign it! I think I have an Extreme Studios comic with about 75 sigs on it, I can't identify that many of them, but it was supposed to be everyone that worked there. At one point I had a promo binder from Lighting Comics that had a ton of cool / rare variants, including some "nude" ones. Lord only knows where that ended up. I've been collecting since the 80's but been a weekly collector since 1993 so I've got a TON of stuff up in my comic room. I'll have to take some pics of some of the more rare stuff I have next time I dive into the archives!
  12. Loving this thread. Here's a plate from NATIONAL CARTOONISTS SOCIETY PORTFOLIO OF FINE COMIC ART from 1977. This isn't my print, I found it on the net, but I do have a copy signed by Eisner. Wally Wood also did one in this portfolio that I have.. Steranko did a plate too, but I think that's for another board / thread.
  13. I grabbed this one not too long ago:
  14. It's a bit of both: http://www.spiderfan.org/comics/reviews/fantastic_four_annual/001-b.html I have every comic book Spider Man appeared in up till 1/1980. Other than the AF 15, I'm just missing a few random issues. He was in 1 panel of Avengers #3, in a panel of X-Men #27, as Peter Parker in FF #35 for example. Once it gets into the 1980-90's Spidey was everywhere but I have most of them too and I still buy new books regularly. So I'm right about there with ya!
  15. I set my DVR to record that this week. It's on PBS a few times.
  16. Great pic! Now, do you have the first 16 or so with the Tales to Astonish #57?
  17. No kidding! Imagine seeing a pink getaway car being chased by that lime green cop car through the technicolor streets of the city. The All-Famous #9 has been an elusive one thus far. I just love the "Camera of Death" cover! Timley - you can post that pic as often as you want! If the Timeley vault ever gets a bit tight I'm keeping a slot open for a Catman #28 in my LB Cole collection!
  18. Love that Catman cover. I have only 1 Catman issue, #27, but I really want a #30. I'll get there! Until then here's 2 crime books I picked up off ebay: ALL-FAMOUS CRIME #8 ALL-FAMOUS POLICE CASES #9
  19. WoW. Ultimate Centaur book!!! GO Everett Magic!!!
  20. Here's my Golden Record reprint #1, it's a solid 7.5: Makes for a fun book to actually READ if you wanna see what an ASM #1 looks like on the inside.
  21. Cool stuff MM. I know many of those Red Ryder books have back photo covers, so feel free to post 'em!
  22. Whoa! Any way you can take a pic of the Human Torch story? I'm not sure who I got this from. Awesome - THANKS! I love how the Torch has a picture of himself on his back. HA!
