No rest for the wicked here! Here's a few romance covers that don't come up all that often. TOP LOVE STORIES #5 - I totally love the colors on this cover. As if the "captain's" shirt wasn't enough you've got the green water on the purple pool! And what's going on here? People in the pool and in suits? This copy is a tad worn, but I'll take it now and upgrade later if given the chance. I've got 1 more to follow....

Just got my TARGET book in yesterday, so I switched my Contact Comics display up for a smaller one: Oh, and I know these aren't LB Cole covers, but this is what I was referring to. I knew I had a few of these books but I forgot the importance - they aren't LB covers but he did some INTERIOR work here! ALL LOVE #24 REAL LOVE #24: I forget if I've posted by Target v.9 #12 here before, but this is a decent shot of it, so why not:

Apparently that dude in white troubled the heroes of TARGET COMICS a few times. This is LB Cole's 1st TARGET cover, vol. 8 #10 (it's the mycomicshop.com copy): And just for the hell of it, take a look at the cover to the prior issue! Dude is flying! And this horse isn't gonna land too pretty either! At least someone's getting punched for it...

drbanner - that Suspense #8 is stellar! Congrats!!! I grabbed this one off of ebay last night for a decent deal: I think the covers that "might" be his were Real Love #24, and maybe another from that run. I'll check when I get home tomorrow. I'll see what I can do about compiling a list. I'm trying to run a report out of my ComicBase database that has all of LB's covers. He's listed as an official artist, but it only pulls up a fraction of where it's got him listed. So I'm running an advanced search now. When in doubt when I'm "working" from home on Friday I'll just come up with a quick list of issues in Excel.

WoW!!! Great copy!!! Of the LB Cole "sci-fi" trilogy, that's the only one I'm missing. I've got the Captain Flight 11 and and Contact Comics 12 already. I do have a nice copy of the sci-fi Captain Aero 25, but it's nothing compared to the 26!

Thanks man! I just got home and counted all my LB Cole covers. I'm up to 158 covers (after that one arrives) and then I have 6 more cover proofs! Then you can add is a few others like the Overstreet cover and the CB Marketplace issue as well. There are also 1-2 I have that "may" be his but I'm not sure to count them. I can see myself hitting 200 if I can fill the gaps in my runs too.

The CONTACT #2 is also on top of my CAPTAIN FLIGHT #11 as well! I'll have to do a "Sci-Fi" theme next... Although I am going to the cape this weekend. So maybe I should do a beach / pool theme?

Yeah, that's where I got the CONTACT #1. I passed on the #7 because I didn't like that copy. FYI, here's my Fish Face cover (it's the pic from the listing). The colors are much brighter then they appear: I often use Comic Base to get lists for things, so I'll try to see if I can get you a list of Cole's romance (and other) comics. FYI - they are having a sale if you or anyone else is interested.

Awesome copy!!! I only need that one and the #9 to complete my LB Cole run of that title. I also just picked up a CONTACT #1, so I only need to find a #7 of that title to complete that run. However my recent "grail" pickup was a CGC 4.0 of the classic CRIMINALS OF THE RUN "fish in the face" cover!!!

Love those TARGETS! I have 2 of those, the V. 9 #12 and the V. 10 #9 (the last one). That MASK #1 is in pretty good shape, especially considering the paper that cover is made out of. Nice pickup! Welcome to the club! And what can you say about the CATMAN #31?!?!? Just awesome... Oh - UPDATE: The seller refunded the $$ $ on the School Day Romances book, so no harm done.

YUP - it is! Ugh... just emailed the seller on this. I'm watching the NFL Playoffs and on the bds, and I just decided to transfer my purchases to new mylars. Turns out this book has a page that has 1/3 of it CUT OFF and the piece is still there! Then there's another page that has 2 mini ads exacto knifed out. I mean, I got it for the cover but it's NOT what I thought I was buying. From a reputable seller too. I'll see how that pans out. On another note... my ALL -FAMOUS POLICE CASES has a spine split to the bottom staple, and that bottom corner was STUCK to the mylar it was in and not only came off but is STILL stuck in that mylar! so a VG / FN is now... what... VG- SUCK.

Thanks man! I know his horror covers get most of the attention, but I LOVE the crime, adventure, and romance ones. Especially the "poster color" ones. Let's see... here are a few others:

I've picked up a bunch of Cole books lately. This one I may have overpaid for by a few $'s (not much) now completes my Outlaws run, and yes that includes the Western Crime Cases #9! One of my 1st complete Cole cover runs! I have MASK 1 & 2, but I think every other title I'm missing at least an issue or 2. Also got this one in the mail today: And this one for a great deal too! I've picked up others, but these are the most recent.

You may not have many, but they are QUALITY! That Terrors #20 is sweet! I'm still missing that one. The Terrors @19 was my 1st LB Cole book!

Lovely cover! The color proof for that cover includes LB Cole's signature in the blocks on the lower right. It does not show up on the comic which cuts it off. You're the guy who has that proof, right? I think I remember reading that story (probably in this thread somewhere). VERY COOL!

Oh, I'll be hunting for more... But this one that you've got! LOVE IT! Haven't pulled the trigger on any Suspense issues... yet. I want to finish my contact run really. And well, if a few things fall in my lap along the way that's cool too!

Just won this one a second ago on ebay, TARGET COMICS V. 10 # 3. It's the only copy I've seen of this last issue to date: Has anyone else ever seen this one? Also, in the listing the seller describes that this is from the "EGYPTIAN COLLECTION." Anyone heard of it?
