  1. I guess it really depends on how "dull". Right now I cannot think of any examples in which non-rusty staples prevented a book from receiving a fair grade.
  2. Was Avengers/JLA printed by DC? If so, then you are likely correct. Other than the New Zealand Mint cover 'coins', DC has not partnered with CGC on any custom labels (that I am aware of). Licensing and all that...
  3. Probably a sour taste in his mouth with WB's treatment of Vulko's JL cameo.
  4. Micro-chamber paper. No cause for concern. I have had this happen, and been able to lightly tap the slab so that it gets back into place. You could carefully tap the book closer to the bottom edge, or try to get the paper moving back up. As long as you're not throwing the slab on a table to try moving the contents, you should be okay. Avoid any of the components hitting the outer edge of the inner well.
  5. I mis-wrap like this would be exempt from the 9.9/10 range, so 9.8 maximum is still possible.
  6. CBCS is delusional if they think that harboring all conditions of books under 1 color of label makes them 'superior'. The fact that their witnessed and verified signature labels are the same color is quite disgusting IMO. One might assume that they don't have different label because they're not as good at detecting restoration...
  7. Not a MFG defect that I am aware of. A dry cleaning may fix it.
  8. "Apparent" color touch means that removal will likely result in some sort of visible damage. "Slight" means that the possible damage from removal may not affect the grade much, if at all, since it's already in the 4.0 range.
  9. If they are fresh from CGC, then contact them and ask for free re-holders. You should not have to pay for them to fix their holder quality.
  10. I used to think that Spider-Man belonged with Disney where all of the other Marvel characters call home, but you're right. Sony gives Spider-Man's fans what they want, just look at how they approach the video game market. The Doctor Strange teaser intrigued me, so I'll be waiting for a full trailer to see if there's any more hope in Phase Bore.
  11. This movie is officially the worst film that I have ever attempted to watch. Anyone remember me ragging on Punisher: War Zone? It's the 1 movie my brother and I never finished. We turned it off after 10 minutes. In fact, we reminisced about this on X-Mas Eve. I tried watching this by myself and turned it off after 5 minutes. You're telling me that a handful of guys with full-auto ARs cannot hit a single large target at 10 feet that starts moving away in a straight line? What a f^&*ing joke. 0/5. Would never recommend.
  12. I can understand replacing Batman. Affleck was so perfect for the role, despite my pessimism, and he doesn't seem interested in it going forward. Replacing Cavill and Superman would be a monumental mistake. We all saw what WB did with Justice League, though. And BvS, to a lesser extent. They seem to be the king of making monumental mistakes in film production.
  13. It's an uphill battle - if it's even possible - to design a suit better than Batfleck's. How they were able to give him the classic Batman look and make it work in a gritty/realistic manner... I am always astounded.
  14. So, I finished The Witcher last night. Overall, the series is about an 8.5 out of 10 for me. The series is somewhat tough to follow, and the S2 finale is way too cliche. The series is a lot of fun and there are amazing (and dark) moments.
  15. Watching Cavill in The Witcher made me long even more for an MoS sequel.
