  1. I prefer lower-end 9s of vintage books. I.e. I'd rather have an Iron Man #1 in 9.4 rather than a 9.8 grade. It would have to have a nice wrap, though. Personal preference. Just adds to the vintage aspect IMO.
  2. No drooling emoticon that I can post for Gadot and Atwell...?
  3. I posted a picture of the Loch Ness Monsta first.
  4. If an animated cover could benefit only 1 character - Doctor Strange would be the one.
  5. Buy the book - not the label. Restoration is restoration. Period. If I can get a Superman #1 with a dot of color touch for half the price of a Universal label? I buy it, crack it, and laugh maniacally all the way home from the post office.
  6. Restoration call-out isn't "random". Restoration gives the illusion of something that the comic book isn't - original. CGC scales restoration from pro (A) to amateur (C). Also from 'apparent' to 'slight'. Nothing random about it. Some techniques have been reassessed as conservative and/or non-restorative. Improving the process doesn't make it random, either, though.
  7. Color quality/hue inconsistencies, no white 'cracks' (or creases without color break in older books), etc. You can always ask for interior cover images. Bleed-thru would be obvious.
  8. I can't definitively tell. There are simply no obvious tells from the pictures.
  9. Simu isn't Asian enough to lead a Shang-Chi movie. He'll be overshadowed by more-Asian characters...
  10. I've seen an 8.0 go to a 9.6 after cleaning and pressing, so I tend not to estimate how much that will improve a comic. I would assume that this would be at least a 5.0 after a proper clean/press, though.
  11. That's too bad! Better late than never, though. I always find that reading the related source material enhances the films a lot - despite being very different. Example: "I had a bad day" in Joker. Casual audiences may not understand, but that's all it takes to make the Joker, per The Killing Joke. Might be my favorite line of the movie. When Ebony Maw spoke, line-for-line, Mephisto's opening dialogue (in the comics) in the Infinity War movie... My lord. That was ing amazing.
